'Shot Spotter' and Boston's track record

'Shot Spotter' not solution to violence if Boston is Seattle's example

Thursday afternoon at Seattle City Hall, the first look at a technology now in use in other cities to
pinpoint gunshots will be offered to the City Council's public safety committee, and according to KOMO,
the city is looking at "Shot Spotter" for a trial run in some neighborhoods, possibly South Seattle.

Study up for meet-the-candidate gatherings

Questions gun owners should ask of political candidates

While Barack Obama is slinging mud in order to avoid running on his record, Mitt Romney is not enthusiastic
about releasing his tax forms and politicians down the are looking for a campaign issue on which to hang
their hats, gun owners should be asking some questions.

The mouse(gun) that roared

The mouse(gun) that roared

When 71-year-old Samuel Williams, one of several patrons at an internet café in Ocala, Fla., was
confronted by armed robbers, he did something that has made him famous across cyberspace in the past few days.

RE: The mouse(gun) that roared

And they're darned reliable, too, right?

I just finished testing the Colt Mustang for GUN WORLD and it was a gem. Previously I've tested the Ruger LCP
and Sig Sauer P238. I've also fired that Taurus .380 model and all of them are simply marvelous little
pocket pistols.

Re: The mouse(gun) that roared

Mine shoots everytime I pull the trigger, that's good enough for what I need
it for. The only bad moment I had with it was when an aggressive skunk went
after me. I couldn't hit it from the distance I was shooting! so I went home
and got the shotgun<G>

Re: The mouse(gun) that roared

back in the day, I didn’t carry a B U G and after receiving a ton of crap from friends, I finally got a heavy
Walther PPK (heavy vs. today’s plastic) .380 in a shoulder rig as my B U G .... duty gun was either a .38
Special or .357 mag.

We were in a major brawl, jumped by several street thugs (VN war demonstration) .... I went to the aid of a LEO
down and my bastard came outta nowhere ..... he was trying to get my duty gun ..... I had one hand on him
holding my duty gun in the holster, rolling around and I did an left hand grab, tore my shirt half off and
grabbed the Walther and jammed it half way down his gullet screaming I’m gonna blow his nuts off FROM THE
FREAKING INSIDE, when our back ups got us apart, everyone bleeding, my guy throwing up blood and from that
day on, I never worked without at least one back up gun ............

Re: The mouse(gun) that roared

He obviously used a little .32 or even a .22 cal... as you can see it was way too small! He needed a larger
caliber handgun. I always carry my little Taurus Millennium Pro .40 cal. Those little A/H's would have
still been in the cafe' when the cops arrived! I Love that video. Kudos for the 71 yr old Gentleman.
