Do you know Kim Murphy, who I believe is employed by the L. A. Times,
but often has pieces published locally (Seattle area)? I think she

I don't know about hip pocket, but I feel perfectly safe with a pocket holster with my weapon in my front jeans
pocket (safty on / round chambered).  In some situations any type of holster on your belt, or ankle holster
is just not concealed enough.

Why a pocket holster?  Lint, dirt, or anything else in your pocket.  it 
keeps them clean and free of obstructions.  it also changes the 
impression it makes in your pocket.  and all for under $15,  what a deal!
