Re: your comments on "the debate"

Our Lady Of The Commoners kicked serious ass and blew away the
naysayers. Kudos to her for preparing for this debate---as someone
said "Biden has been debating since he was 2 years old".....
Her self confidence and "folksiness" came shining through.....

Purple Power

Forget about red and blue voters, those hyper-partisan Democrats and
Republicans who dominated the past decade and turned American politics into
a blood sport. Think about the purple people who are starting to elbow the
reds and blues aside.

The purple label designates the independent, middle-of-the-road voters who
have made a comeback and now occupy the main battleground of 2008.

Re: your comments on "the debate"

Well, you asked......

While both candidates appeared to still be campaigning, Palin was
doing more of it. She kept talking a whole lot, but never really
said anything. Vague tags and identifiers to things that need to be
done without ever answering a question as to what she will do.
Granted, Biden didn't do much better, and he has benn doing this
sort of nonsense longer, but ......

I really think they both stank. It was dull and pointless. I was
hoping to hear one of them say that they were going to do something,
then it occurred to me..... Neither one of them CAN do anything.
They don't hold any real power. Of course neither does the CIC.
Let's face it folks we live in an oligarchy. Relate that to the
Politburo of the now defunct USSR and you might see what I mean.

Oh well, one of them it must be, shame Biden couldn't wind up with
McCain.

RE: your comments on "the debate"

It was a draw. I don't think either of them changed any minds that will translate into votes next month. Both
held their own without any major gaffs. Frankly it was more entertaining than I expected. Biden was Biden,
same old crap as always. Palin appeared to be scripted; didn't answer the questions being asked, kept
going back to the "talking points', but she appeared confident and didn't stumble... I thought Gwen Iffle
gave Biden the "last word" in almost every case.

Re: your comments on "the debate"

It is painfully obvious, and has been for years, that the candidates
of the 2 major political parties care more about the well-being of
Israel than they do about Americans. They both bow to AIPAC at a
tremendous cost in dollars and the blood of our children. Sad and
disgusting! There is no way that I could, in good conscious, vote
for either a Republican or a Democrat. Both would contribute to the
continuing downfall of this Republic.

Re: Re: your comments on "the debate"

I am afraid that there is no "lesser" of the two evils.
They are both just "evil" or at least neither is the way we should be
voting...

That said, I fully believe that we need to vote. Every vote, in some
way, does count for something...and we can really make a change...maybe
not for the next 4 years, but a change this election could affect the
next election 4 years from now...kind of "long term planning"...

Vote for a 3rd party. If every American who "doesn't know who to vote
for" or "cannot, in good conscience, vote for dem or rep" or "won't vote
this time"...if everyone is sick of "the same old thing", then we need
to vote for a third party...
Not just any third party, but the one that has the best chance of success...

Success? What? I am not talking about wining the election, I am talking
about getting at least 3% of the votes. If a Party can get at least 3%
of the votes during a presidential election, they qualify for Federal
Fund Matching for their campaigns.
Now, our 2 party system would become a 3 party system...now THAT is change!

There is no better way to let the Democrats and the Republicans know
that we are dissatisfied with their performance than to give them a real
kick in the pants, and another way to loose votes. If they start to
realize that their "people" would rather vote for SOMEONE ELSE, maybe
they would start to listen to what the People want...

I know it is a long shot, and with Greens, Libertarians,
Constitutionalists, Socialists, and Communists, there are a handful of
"3rd parties" to choose from.

Re: Re: your comments on "the debate"

really nice thought here, except they will result in an NObama vote. Why,
because every vote not cast for McCain/Palin will be one less vote they can
use to beat the half breed.
Until the nation, and it won't be in our life time, accepts a 3rd party, the
two idiots are all we got.
and if you own a gun you do NOT want the half breed any where near DC
