Famous Recipes - Easy Onion Garlic Potatoes

Easy Onion Garlic Potatoes

4 golden russet potatoes
1/4 to 1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 package Lipton Dry Onion Soup Mix (or equivalent dry
soup mix)
1 package Lipton Dry Garlic Herb Soup Mix (or
equivalent dry soup mix)

Preheat oven to 350°F. Use a sharp knife to puncture
potatoes several times. Microwave potatoes on high for
13-14 minutes, or until they are tender when poked
with a knife or fork (microwave oven cooking times
vary).

Cube the potatoes into small bite sized pieces. Put
the cubed potatoes into a large ziplock (re-sealable)
plastic bag.

In a small bowl, mix oil and soup mixes. Mix until
lumps are dissolved. Pour the mixture over the
potatoes in the bag. Seal bag and rotate the potatoes
around in the bag so that the oil mixture coats the
potatoes.

Pour the potatoes into an 8x8 or a 9x9 pan. Bake for
30 minutes.

follows: (it looks nice in a clear glass bowl). One half of the
brownies (crumble up and layer bottom of the bowl), top with half of the
mousse mixture, top again with half of the cool whip. Start next layer
with the remaining brownies, layer again with the other half of the

Sprinkle some brownie crumbs on top. Chill thoroughly and serve cold.
If you can find the toffee sprinkles, you can top the dessert with that

Famous Recipes - Po rt Wine Cheese Spread

One of my favorite ways to end a meal is with a good cheese, walnuts, and
port wine. It's also an excellent way to start a meal.

Port Wine Cheese Spread

8 oz (225 g) cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 cup (125 ml) sour cream
Salt to taste
A pinch of cayenne pepper
1/4 cup (60 ml) port wine
2 Tbs (30 ml) butter, melted
1/2 cup (125 ml) chopped walnuts

Combine the cheddar cheese, sour cream, salt, and cayenne pepper in a bowl
and beat with a wooden spoon until smooth. Add the wine and butter, stirring
until combined. Pack the mixture into one or two serving bowls and sprinkle
with chopped walnuts. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2
hours or overnight. Serve with assorted crackers. Makes about 2 cups (500
ml).
