Owner review, princeton Tech LED Photon Light.
Item tested: Princeton Tech LED Photon Light. Name: Gary Adams Age: 49 Gender: Male Height: 5’ 8” Weight: 180 - 200 Email address: garya@... City, State, Country: Cincinnati, Ohio USA. Date: 02/18/04 About me: In “real life” I’m a Paramedic, fairly active; Hiking, Mt biking, Acting, etc. Married 27 years, have 2 sons. Backpacking Background: AT 390 miles on section hikes since 1997, about 80 miles of additional trails in the GSMNP, another 200 or so on local (Ohio) trails, countless miles day hiking since age 3. Similar Products Used: Mag light (2 AA), Princeton tech headlamp (incandescent, 3AA). The Pulsar I flashlight URL: www.princetontec.com Yr of Manufacture: 2002 I bought this mini light at the local pro bass shop for about $9.00, & was immediately struck by how bright the little LED light was. The pulsar is a bit larger around than a Quarter, & about 1/8” thick. Its powered by 2 large watch type batteries & operated by squeezing the middle. There is a small lanyard hole that I use to hang the light (along with a small knife) around my neck so I have it with me at all times. The weight is less than 1 Oz. I have the white light they come in: white, red, yellow, etc. I have only used it on one trip, a 14-day section hike on the AT, trying to go ultra light, I (foolishly?) carried it as my only light source.
