Re: Input box as location

When you say it doesn't work with file menus, are you referring to those alt+key commands? I must
misunderstand y'all, because those do work most of the time.

Sorry to take so long to answer... thanks for the mousetrap tips - I love mousetrap, but there are some things
I can't seem to get it to do - like scrolling in firefox!

window handles directly from its .ini entries. I have since changed my configuration so that I write the
window captions and handles I want to check from MouseTrap into variables which I then use in
MouseTrap.ini instead of the literal functions and have hardly had any crashes since. However, once I do
get a crash, the problem of the startup script not being run (or of not all its commands being executed
correctly as you seem to have found out) persists.

What exactly are you trying to get it to do? Doesn't native mousewheel support work for you in FF? Or just use
middleclick for autoscroll?

PP Friend Apps

Hello, y'all!
Here are a few friend applications for Powerpro which I have been using.  I thought you might be somewhat interested.

JetToolbar
I use a program called JetToolbar, which allows you to create buttons that run custom RUN commands, open folders, etc., similar to a PP toolbar, except that you can have tabs each with its own set of buttons and each button can have its own command and icon.  Anyway, you can run powerpro commands from it!  For example, you can set a button to show a pp menu!  PP doesn't do toolbars like this, and JetToolbar is very stable and can be well-configured.  It hasn't been updated for a very long time, and nobody talks about it anymore (but you can still find it), but it is absolutely awesome, especially as a pp helper.

AddToRun
This is a little program from the UK that was built in autoit.  I don't remember who made it, and the only "about" info it has is this: Copyright 2009 pctip#163.com.
Anyway, the value of it is you can create an alias called PP and in many programs (including JetToolbar, Freecommander and NoteTab) you can run powerpro by simply calling PP.  Thus, from the commandline:
PP .myscript <at> myfunction  - I think a similar approach was made with ppbang, and is the same as adding the application to your path.  This is just an easy approach.

ReRun
This is something I wrote myself to allow me to attach pp functions to buttons in XnView.  Problem was that I couldn't get XnView to send a commandline parameter - it will run an application, but you can't attach any parameter (maybe they are fixing this; I don't know).  ReRun allows you to place the commandline parameters in an ini file and you can just call ReRun without any parameters.  ReRun runs that program with its specified parameters for you.  You can get it from my goodies page at http://www.sspxusa.org/goodies

Responding Heads
Maybe y'all know this one.  It is a little head that floats on your screen and will receive voice commands.  So I wrote a couple of plugins for it; one of them is just for running powerpro commands.  You can get it at my goodies page too.  http://www.sspxusa.org/goodies

God bless!

Mousetrap trapping - was Re: Scheduler type 'startup'...

Mousetrap lets you multiply scroll speed, plus you can scroll to the bottom and top of a page. I know there are
settings to do this in firefox, but you have to scramble for them. Besides, pp+mousetrap work for just
about everything else - it should be widescale. I hate changing hotkeys between programs!

Noup, I'm referring to menus made from files e.g.
Menu ShowFile mymenu.txt. There is a topic in help file called "File menus".

Re: Input box as location

Showfile only allows command format. Form the error message below, it looks like you are trying to use
sendkeys form of filemenu command or may have some other kind of syntax error.

myname{Tab}*****{Enter}.

When you say it only works with some hot keys, are you using exactly the same command line and more commands
and file with each hot key. In PowerPro itself, exactly the same code is used to run commands regardless of
what hot key or mouse action you use, so I cannot see how the choice of hot key would affect whether the menu
showfile works.

Re: Input box as location

I'm using the same command line, same file. It's probably conflict with Opera or some other app I use,
nothing important. Did I say I looove PowerPro.

Ah mousetrap, my favorite plugin. Does it work with Win7? I hope Russel will update it someday.

scroll winhelp find window

Hello, y'all!
Hey, does anyone know how to use the mouse wheel to scroll the
TextViewers in the find tab of a winhelp topics panel? I have tried
everything. To try it, open PP help and then click on the "index"
button at the top, and then switch over to the "Find" tab. There seems
to be no way to use the mousewheel on this window...
