Alarms Take Foucs Away from Window

Hi everyone,

PowerPro 4.8 under Win XP - if I am playing a game and a PowerPro
alarm rings, I get kicked out to Windows to view the alarm dialog
box.In the scheduler setup, the settings 'Show alarm message windows
on top (gray topmost)' and 'Alarm messages take focus (become
foreground)' are not ticked. So, with both these settings disabled,
why do PowerPro alarms still take focus away from my games? :(

(I'm an even more grumpy gamer than usual when that happens!)

GG

strange keyboard anomaly using Projects.S

In TSE GUI version 4.40a, and only in one particular project, I am
unable to type a lowercase "p". There's no menu activation, nothing
to indicate why that key is rejected. The cursor does not move unless
the character just to the left of the cursor position is a space.
SHIFT-P works fine. This is a project I've used for quite some time,
on more than one computer, and I'm almost positive that it isn't a
problem that's been around for any length of time.

I tried a different project, and the problem does not exist there,
nor does it occur if I open the editor and type into an empty file.

Scratching head...

Cheers,
Tom

Does System Meter plugin work in Vista?

On my old comuter I have WinXP with PowerPro 4.1, and System Meter
plugin works perfectly.

But on laptop (Windows Vista wih PowerPro 4.8) I get this error when
trying to run System Meter plugin...

"Cannot access script file"

In PowerPro I run the script with this command...
*Script RunFile
C:\Program Files\PowerPro\scripts\script.txt

And in that "script.txt" I have...
SystemMeter.start ("C:\Program
Files\PowerPro\skins\SystemMeter\skin.xml")

But error "Cannot access script file" apears no matter what.
Any help would be much appreciated... :)

Is your pcf file in C:\Program Files\PowerPro? If not it could be a
script path issue. Either add C:\Program Files\PowerPro\scripts to
your scriptpath or move script.txt to the scripts subdirectory of your
data folder. It could also be a permission issue. PowerPro needs to be
running as administrator.

Hi,

I did the same thing (upgraded to Vista), and had so many problems
with Vista that I went back and reinstalled XP (so I dual boot with XP
now, but I now spend most of my time in XP). If you check back in the
group's archives (last month or two), you will see a number of posts I

Problem with active buttons and multiline text

Bruce,

it seems that if you set the last item in a command list to set the
properties of active buttons for the list, the multiline text
attribute as set by the checkbox on the edit list item dialog is only
applied to the very first active button, but not carried over to the
following active buttons. However, using skins to set multiline works
fine.

Any chance you could fix this?

Thanks!

Phil

Sorry, no: right now it looks very likely that 4.8. is PowerPro's final
state,

Is \ your string escape character. Try / instead.

On XP I allways worked as administrator, so I'm not yet used to
this limited user privileges mind set. ;) I followed you suggestions,
ran PowerPro as administrator and voila that error appears no more.
But new problem is that nothing is happening.

System Meter bar doesn't appear on screen... no matter where I put
script.txt file. (user or PP directory) I also tried changeing \ to /
but no result. Can somebody confirm that System Meter plugin is
actually working in Vista? :)

I also noticed that all keyboard shortcuts for controlling mouse
behaviour don't work. This new computer is laptop, and it has
touchpad, but I also connected mouse through usb stick
and it works ok. But it seems that PP can't control it, *Mouse Screen
x y commands don't produce any movement on screen...
