Re: Is there a way to *close* to minimize?

Hello all!

Thanks for your confidence. I will stop complaining now.
Okay, I had two "mouse" programs: WizMouse and KatMouse that enhance
scrolling options.
I exited them and it didn't make any difference.
I tried both =notepad++ and =notepad, and I tried a blank entry to
left-close all windows.

I tried Mrs. Robbins idea of the alt+a message box and it does work.
No, I don't have Mousetrap or Keytrap plugins installed. (I have them
on disk, but they are not installed).

I am using Windows XP Pro on a Dell Precision DuoCore with SP2.

Thanks.

What mouse hardware do you have? I have an old Logitech trackball (connected to PS2 port) and a Wacom tablet
(connected to USB2). I haven't tried uninstalling either one and close box hotkeys do not work for me.
However Rt-click sys menu hotkeys work fine.

Update: When I boot up with my Wacom tablet disconnected, close-box actions work fine in Powerpro.

Brother Gabriel, if you happen to have a Wacom tablet, get the latest driver. Uninstall the existing
driver, then install the new one. No more issues with close-box macros.

Just exiting is not a complete test. You need to temporarily uninstall and
reboot. They may have installed drivers that remain after exiting. You need
to test using the standard WinXP mouse drivers.

Mr. Robbins. Try "left caption anywhere" and "right close".

SP3 is available.

Notes are automatically saved in Powerpro's Notes folder as PproNote files if you simply close them. If you
save the text of the note into a named text file, the new file's date will be the date the PProNote was created
or altered. You need to eliminate (delete) the current note if you don't want the text also in a PproNote
file. Right-click it and select Delete.

Simple question about selecting text

This is surely much more simple than it seems, but I can't figure out how to select text using PowerPro scripting.

I have tried many variations of these commands:

Window.Show("*Notepad*")
Wait.For(activewindow("*Notepad*"))
Win.Keys("+{right}")

It seems that this should select that next character of text, but it only moves the character one space to the
right, without selecting it. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there a better way to select text?

If it helps, my goal is a simple macro for copying-pasting text from one window into another. Thank you VERY
much for any help! :)

That only works on my XP system using

Win.Keys("{fast}+{right}")

{fast} is not compatible with Vista, and even if you are not on Vista, your system may react differently than mine.

Other methods to try are {slow} and {sinp} (in place of {fast} in keystring above).

If all else fails you can try doing it with the au plugin (which comes with the Powerpro)

au.send("+{Right}")

That is also probably not compatible with Vista. There is an au3 plugin posted in Files of the main Powerpro
list, which might have shift-arrow sequence compatible with Vista.

Adding the {fast} worked great! Thanks very much. :)
