I've never heard of this (powerpro stopping a key from functioning - in
your case if you were in explorer with a file selected and you hit F2
the file didn't go into rename mode). The closest thing I can think of
is that there's another hotkey program on your computer that's fighting
with powerpro. Disable the other program that is trying to register
global hotkeys in windows.

I just had exactly this happen. Some of the keys of the computer I use
at work - a recent one, running XP - are "wrong:" the " <at> " key and
double-quote key are transposed, for example. I used Jackass Joe's
http://www.joejoesoft.com/vcms/ OkayKeeBees to correct this, plus some
other keys, and found PowerPro was sometimes triggering the wrong one.
Removing the remapping from OkayKeeBees solved the problem.

I have a couple of others, though. One is that that particular
computer sometimes seems blind to spaces, so I get something like
this:

(onlypublished asWO ,q.v.)

which should be

(only published as WO , q.v.)

I solved that by doubling each space. This seems odd, yet it has also
worked in KeyPass too. Using the Alt-keypad trick inside PowerPro
does work {alt}{pad0}{pad0}{pad3}{pad2}{alt} but took up too much
space in some substitutions. And, getting PowerPro to enter
keystrokes from a file didn't work at all, I just got some kind of,

Beginner needs help

I just downloaded this program and I am really confused. I am trying
to make a program that would click every 20 seconds but cannot figure
out how to do this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

What is your OS?

Do you mean a mouse left click or a sound?

How do you intend to start and stop the clicks?

If you describe what you are trying to accomplish someone might know a
different way.

I am running Windows XP. i meant a mouse left click. I was thinking of
having it run on a timer so that the program would start a timer at 20
secs, then when the timer was up have the mouse clicked. That is about
as much as I know right now.

I don't want to assume too much, but seems to me someone wants to click on a
banner every 20 seconds. :-)
I'm a beginner too, the only thing I've been able to do for now is insert
some replacement texts using a macro and the key command. It's a very
complicated software but it seems equally powerful. The best way to learn is
to read all the examples in the help file/tutorial :-)

Good luck!

I also am having another "noobish" problem. I am trying to find the
program alias run box, but have not been able to locate it. Where can
i get it?

That is one way to do that.

To configure the timer. Open PowerPro Configure. Go to the Timers tab.
Select an unused timer. Press the Edit button. Put a check in "Down". Put
20 in "Reset Second". Go to the Reset tab. For "Enter command..." select
"Mouse" from the drop down list. For "Enter actions..." press the button on
the right and select "LeftClick". Press OK. Press OK.

You will need to assign hotkeys or buttons to start (Timer Start z) and
stop (Timer Stop z) the timer. You may want to have a button display the
countdown by setting "*Info timersec z" as the name (substitute your timer
letter for z).

Automatically having the mouse LeftClick ever 20 seconds would make me
nervous.

PowerPro doesn't have a built in alias run box. It has a Tiny Run Box with
a history list and optional auto complete. It has a hook for command line
processing that can be used to implement command aliases. You can also use
macros. See "run box tiny" in the help index for more info.

There is no built in one (Tiny Run box as Carroll said is the closest
one), but there is a script found at:

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/power-pro/files/Scripts/

use either ARB.zip or ARB3.zip (older version)

that is a pretty good alias run box :)
