gdb

I'm trying to run openbox under gdb to track down a "Fuck ya" seg 11.

I ran

./configure --enable-debug && make

but when I run gdb all I get is

"openbox": not in executable format: File format not recognized

Is there something else I"m missing? Thanks.

Cascading windows

How do I set openbox to cascade newly created windows with the previous
window?

weird window maximization with twinview

Hello!

There is one annoying problem with openbox in Twin View X-server
mode(desktop is extended to my TV). Other window managers(kwin,
metacity) seem to behave the "right" way when maximizing application
windows e.g. windows are maximized to physical display(only one),
depending on which display the window is located. But openbox treats
both physical displays as one and maximizes window across whole "virtual
desktop".

I believe this is not the way it should me. Although it might not
qualify as a bug rather it is more like a wish for future releases.

BTW, could this be that I am the only one who noticed this? :) Seems so
if we trust in google.com.

Well, Mark, you are right! Just made a "dirty" install of Debian Sid
openbox package and everything was fine. Damn, seems it is Ubuntu
package maintainers fault.

Thanks for feedback!

send to desktop - and follow

hi,

in blackbox i can right click a window titlebar and a middle click on
"send to desktop n" will send the window _and switch there_ at the same
time.

is there a way to get this functionality in openbox?

Not in the new version (0.7) of blackbox, although it's a interesting feature.

Well, you can left-click and hold on the title-bar and switch desktop
and the window will follow.
