I'm using the latest snv's HEAD (r54069) and no errors here :-\

Re: [E-devel] [Patch] small patch for genlist parameter verification routine.

Hi Daniel Juyung Seo,

We really need to verify parameters on all item functions calls. Some
widgets are already OK, as diskpicker, flippicker, and toolbar. But
genlist, gengrid and others need to be done.

Usually we check this using ELM_WIDGET_ITEM_CHECK_OR_RETURN and
ELM_CHECK_WIDTYPE macros.

Tiago Falcão is working on this task, so I believe until Wednesday all
the widgets will be verifying items properly.

Thank you.

[E-devel] [BUG REPORT] evas / fontconfig problem? Chinese display problem

Hello all,

I just svn'd up and my app doesn't show Chinese characters properly
anymore. All of them become square blocks...
I tried embedding fonts in my theme file and it worked. Thus,
probably a fontconfig usage problem?

Any pointers?

Thanks in advance.

Most probably obsolete headers from some other aborted or not-cleaned
installation of enlightenment, and/or its dependencies.

What I would do in this situation is this:
  1. First uninstall all of the EFL libraries and enlightenment. If the
packages that you installed are "eina eet evas ecore embryo edje e_dbus
efreet eeze e" then you will need to uninstall them all.

  2. Next run "slocate -U /usr/lib" on your machine

  3. Third run a locate on all the EFL libraries and enlightenment. For
example, if you installed only the following packages: "eina eet evas
ecore embryo edje e_dbus efreet eeze e", then run the following:
for i in eina eet evas ecore embryo edje e_dbus efreet eeze; do
       locate lib$i
    done
    locate e-module-

  4. If you get *any* output in the above command then you have some
duplicate/old installation in your system. You will need to figure out
how to remove the old installations!

In the future, when you upgrade enlightenment, make sure to upgrade
*all* the libraries in the proper order: "eina eet evas ecore embryo

Can you by any chance tell from what revision and to what revision you
updated?

Thanks,
Tom.

Sorry... I should have written down the revision number before any update.

Anyway, I remember my previous bug report of elementary_config's
needing efreet and raster fixed it quite soon in r53945.
And r54074 is causing the problem.

I do keep the list of files updated for svn up. For evas, it touches:
U evas/src/lib/cache/evas_cache_image.c
U evas/src/lib/include/evas_common.h
U evas/src/lib/engines/common/evas_font_draw.c
U evas/src/lib/engines/common/evas_font_load.c
U evas/src/lib/engines/common/evas_font_private.h
U evas/src/lib/engines/common/evas_font_query.c
U evas/src/lib/engines/common/evas_font_main.c
Updated to revision 54074.

Re: [E-devel] : e compilation failed (xrandr ? ) / emotion too

Hi,

Yes thank you ! it works now.
I just uninstall all previous e17 packages and run a new fresh easy_e17
install.
I think there was a corrupted package ....
Thank you all for your advices.
I am happy now I can use enlightenment again.

Cheers,

Mysth-R

Seems so.

Please try using commit 53986 (I think 53987 broke it, and that's the
latest anyway). Does it fix it?

Commit 53987 looks like it did evil stuff with the higher Unicode values
(for example, Chinese), maybe that's it.

Please let me know,
