[E-devel] Trying to build E16.6-pre8, imlib problem

Hi,

I'm using the following command to build e16.6-pre8:

rpm --rebuild enlightenment-0.16.6-pre8.src.rpm

I keep getting the following error message:

checking for IMLIB - version >= 1.9.8... no
*** The imlib-config script installed by IMLIB could not be found
*** If IMLIB was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in
*** your path, or set the IMLIB_CONFIG environment variable to the
*** full path to imlib-config.
ERROR: Enlightenment needs a system with Imlib 1.9.8 or higher.
configure: error: Fatal Error: no Imlib detected.
error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.67578 (%build)

RPM build errors:
Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.67578 (%build)

However I do seem to meet the imlib requirements:

        imlib-config-1.9.14-1.ximian.2
        imlib-1.9.14-1.ximian.2

What is going on? How can I get this to build?

Thanks.

That probably contains a binary, imlib_config. Please note the
underscore.

There is probably a -dev version of that package, which should include
the imlib-config script.

That's exactly what the problem is. Enlightenment requires some version
of imlib to *RUN*, but to *COMPILE* E is a different matter. To do that,
as you say, the "-dev" or "-devel" version of imlib is needed.

Okay then, is /opt/gnome/bin in your $PATH ??

imlib_config (with an underscore) is for configuring imlib to display
color-corrected pictures of VW Beetles.

imlib-config (with a dash) is used by auto* stuff to find imlib files.

Do you have the one with the dash, too? Are the headers and libraries
where it says they are?
