Re: New team

Where do we stand on this? Any sort of process setup yet? How do we
know who the nominations are? Who gets to vote... etc etc :)

Re: Re: New team

So far, only Raphael has responded with any names at all. That puts us
at 4 names, of which I'd consider two or three "strong" candidates.

Once we have a few nominations, I'll ask around to make sure that the
nominees are all potentially interested. Then I'll email the existing
team off-list and ask for votes.

Announcing the Plone 3.1 Framework Team

It is my pleasure to announce the new Framework Team for Plone 3.1:

  - Andreas Zeidler
  - Danny Bloemendaal
  - Martijn Pieters
  - Raphael Ritz
  - Tom Lazar

The Framework Team will be responsible for reviewing PLIPs and
associated bundles, voting on which ones to recommend to the release
manager (Wichert Akkerman).

As spokesperson for the outgoing 3.0 Framework Team, I'd like to
congratulate the new team members and wish them the best of luck. I know
that they will be a great team and help Plone advance even further.

As for the old team, we'll still stick around, as non-voting advisers.
One member from the old team, Rapahel Ritz, carries over to the new team.

Cheers,
Martin

Is this thing on?

Hi new team:

Some tasks for you to consider:

  - Subscribe to the plone-framework list if you're not already

  - Hang out in the #plone-framework IRC channel

  - Elect a team spokesperson

  - Work with Wichert to set some deadlines for PLIP submission, bundle
submission, bundle acceptance and a rough release schedule. I suggest
you have an open discussion about the timeline on this list.

If you have any questions, please email me or post here and I'll answer
as best as I can. I'm sure the other "old boys" will as well. :)

Re: Is this thing on?

That should have gone to Martijn Pieters instead of Martijn Faassen. :)

Wichert.

being level is not only expressed in numbers ;-)

seriously, does anybody have an idea, what the timeline could be?

should we select a number of plips and define them as featureset for
3.1 and then work out a realistic timeframe or should we select a
potential release date and then work out what could be done in that
time? i haven't got a clue, how we should start this thang...

i'll try to hang out on #plone-framework over the weekend, don't think
i'll find the time before that, though (it's crazy here right now on
my end...)

cheers,

tom
