Change of leadership on catalan translation

Hello,

It's been a pleasure but it's time for me to leave the plone
internationalization project as the catalan (unique) leader translator
since 2003.

My position will be transfered to Lídia Esparraguera who will be in
charge of updating and translating plone content. I'll help her with
translations, according to my possibilities, but being realistic that
won't surpass a 1% of her work.

Her user in plone.org is: lidia
Her contact email is lidia.esparraguer@...

Please, add her username to the subversion repossitory so she can
commit files. If you want to mantain my username (artomb) it could be
useful for sporadic contributions, if not, I'll pass her the files.

Thanks and goodbye.

P.S: To the hebbrew team:
Ofer, it's been also a pleasure to work with you. See you out of plone ;)

A full list of all known and open RTL bugs is available at:

Welcome Lidia! You have Subversion access now :) We usually don't take
away someones commit rights, so Albert can still commit as well.

Goodbye Albert and thanks again for all the hard work you did,

How to translate state and transition names?

Hi,

I want a custom translation of state and transition names. To do so I alter
PloneTranslations/i18n/plone-de.po (just for testing) and restart zope (zope
2.9.4, plone 2.5.3) but nothing happens.

What do I wrong?

Greetings Joscha

Re: How to translate state and transition names?

Hello Joscha,

Just an idea but usually once the .po files are loaded into the ZODB they can't be changed. In the past what I have done is delete the .po file from within the ZODB by going into the Zope instance's control panel and then restart Zope, which should force the instance to reload your customised .po file.

HTH,
Tim

Ok I tried  this, the .po files are reloaded. The strange thing is I can change every translation, but not the workflow stage names. If I go to the ZMI control panel I can see that my new translation is loaded.  For example

msgid "private"
msgstr "private-2"

msgid "Make private"
msgstr "Make private-2"

If I make a new PloneSite and install PloneLanguage, I can see the new translation "Make private-2". But I can not see the new workflow stage translation "private-2".

I've got a feeling (a hunch) that the workflow state names are stored on the workflow tool itself and not within the i18n-machinery (I stand to be corrected here). One option to test this is to go into the portal_setup tool and do a 'snapshot' of the site and then find the workflow in question and confirm if the state names are in the workflow.xml file.

Thanks,
Tim
