First progress report for Plone 3.0 translations

Hi all,

I just took a bit of my free sprint time and repaired the progress
generation script. So here is the first progress report for Plone 3.0
translations.

Special thanks to the Basque, French, Italian, Spanish and Turkish
translation groups for translating the over 650 new messages in such an
incredible short time!

You are all doing a fantastic job!

I just completed the plone-it catalog. There are still many
untranslated mesgs here and there, and a couple of glitches in the
catalog. Two cases:

a) the front-page shows up in english, even if there's a italian
plonefrontpage.po

b) in several cases there is a ${DYNAMIC_CONTENT} slot in the message
(one for all, the alert about SMTP_HOST not being set that suggests
going to the prefpanel): they invariably render "verbatim", ie the
"$variable" isn't replaced with its actual content.

Any hint?

i18n issues: into the Plone Translations issue tracker or dev.plone.org?

I tried to submit a message on a small issue (concerning
atcontenttypes-es.po) at the Plone Translations issue tracker,

I am Sanjeeve and a software engineer. My nationality is Sri Lanakan.
I am working on plone translation for Tamil (Srilankan) and Sinhala.

Also I have noticed that the status of tamil translation is still in
40%. I would like to contribute to this translation.
