Upon some more tinkering, it seems as though adding tags with UTW is what's
causing the post goofup; I just put together a post with images and tagged
it - but received the funky error and phantom post outcome I mentioned
earlier. Re-posting everything, with pictures but no tags, let the post
through just fine and it's live on the site.

Could someone unsubscribe him with a notice so he knows why and how to sign up 
again? Maybe add a link to the web history so he can catch up when he comes 
back in 12 days. These automatic holiday replies are so annoying.

Yes there is: http://svn.automattic.com/wordpress-i18n/ I take care
for commit to italian section, so any suggestion or proposal for
modification can be done using the forum at www.wordpress-it.it where
we offer italian support and we distribute the italian versione fo WP

2.0.5 Bug Hunt

wpbeta 2.0.5 cannot log in with IE

I'm checking to see if anyone else is seeing this problem before I file a
bug .

I just updated my test blog to the latest 2.0.x from svn and now redirects
don't seem to be working correctly with Internet Explorer. For example, when
I try to log in, I get a "page cannot be displayed" after clicking the
"Login" button. If I manually type in the admin URL again, I am logged in
since the cookies have been set correctly.

Another example: if I go to the plugins admin page, and click to Activate or
Deactivate a plugin, it does the same thing (Cannot display page.) The
plugin gets activated or deactivated, but the resulting page doesn't load.

My server is IIS 5.x (Windows 2000 Server).

I didn't want to file a bug if this is only me . I know IIS testers are few
and far between . anyone else seen this?

Was it running 2.0.4 before?  I can't think of any changes between 2.0.4 
and 2.0.5 that would cause this.

Redirects are done through wp_redirect() in pluggable-functions.php. 
Maybe something in there?
