Hi, another little step towards ease of use: http://snipsnap.org/static/javaws/snipsnap.jnlp A Webstart version of the latest stable code which contains everything and installs by just clicking on the link. To get it running I had to move the conf/server.conf to java.util.prefs which is a platform independent way of storing preferences. Instead of using the jvm working dir for storing the applications it now uses the users home dir. And its even simpler than that. No need to remember the URL from the console log. It will open a browser window for you to carry on with the setup. I tested it on Windows and MacOS X and support is there for Freebsd, Linux and Solaris Sparc. To get all this running I modified the build process so it builds a single jar (9MB :() which can be run by just clicking on it. This is not suitable in a server environment but should suffice for most home users. Have fun, Leo. -- Matthias L.
