(Apologies if you get more than one of these.)
Happy July! We have had our official one week of hot weather here in the UK so now it is back to clouds and light rain<g>.
Most of you will have seen the invitations to our date-writing survey. We had almost 1,000 respondents and have some interesting results to report.
This week sees the launch of our first user-experience benchmarking report. The inaugural edition is for UK mobile phone e-commerce. If you’re involved in that industry (or have clients who are) you might want to take a look. (Jared Spool says “If you're in the mobile phone e-commerce business, you need to read this report.”) Also, if you join our UX benchmarking mailing list, you will have a chance to win a personal copy.
Finally, just a reminder of our two-day mini-conference in London on 5 & 6 October. We are running our card sorting course (presented in its half day version at several HCI conferences), plus attendees will receive a free copy of our analysis software SynCaps V2 (there are some minor limitations on this, see the web site for details). The second day is on Ajax Design and Usability. These courses will also be available in Las Vegas and Berlin as part of NNG’s Usability Week conferences.
See my blog for more details and links to the relevant web pages.
