Image Gallery

I'll try to use spip for a small image gallery.

My problem are the thumbnails of images installed as "joint
documents". My spip installed is SPIP 1.9.3 dev [11847]. My
portfolio does not show a preview as I see it in http://www.spip.net/
en_article3220.html (real pictures). I'm getting only something like
this:

Probably I missed something.

(On the frontend, however, the image appears, even thou it is very
tiny.)

Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Image Gallery

on this page /ecrire/?exec=config_fonctions
make sure you have
- GD2 activate (for example)
- and that "Generate thumbnails automatically." is activate as well

Yet another "multi-site provisioning" attempt

I just instelled SPIP 2.0.0beta [12287] hoping that multi-site provisioning with a shared SPIP kernel (or by any other means) is an integral part of this updated version.  It looks as if I was a bit too optimistic. Actually, I did not find anything new relativ to my previous version11847 - except some layout inconsistencies.

Therefore my question: Is the procedure described in http://www.spip.net/en_article3581.html suitable for the spip 2.0?

Thanks for your help and any additional advice.

Yes but it's only the foundation, not easy to use as is. I'm doing it
with SPIP 2.0 and the "mutualisation" plugin, which integrates what
you need to create new sites on the fly, update sites and so on.

The onl doc I know is at
http://www.spip-contrib.net/La-mutualisation-facile and it's way too
complete to be useful. But basically just copy one of the examples and
"it works" :-)

SPIP SVN/2.0

Hi list,

I'm about to start a new project that will require me to write plug-
ins to integrate with several external packages. I think I saw
somewhere that 2.0 will have an improved plug-in interface, so I'd
like to use it if possible but I'm not sure of it's status. Is the
svn version stable enough to use in production installations (I don't
mind working around minor problems), or should I wait for the
official 2.0 release?

SPIP 2.0 is very close to completion, we are waiting for translators
and new bug reports.
As for plugins, see the tremendous activity on spip-zone: there's a
lot that is done (and a lot to do, obviously!)

Fantastic! I'll use the development version then, and

Yeah, I've seen some really interesting things being done -- I'm just
waiting for our designers to give me a reason to use them. :-)
Hopefully I'll get some of the functionality on this project into a
plug-in to release, but we'll have to see.

Loops and tags

A general question, related to formatting. If any body can help.

In the ARTICLES loop, #INTRODUCTION returns the article’s brief
description surrounded by paragraph tags (<p> </p>). It appears to be a
recent behavior, although I can testify to that only because it has
messed up my layouts using SPIP rev 12290.
Is there a way to have those tags removed, and if so, how?

Thanks

Lazarus
