[Sigia-l] Calling Senior UX Consultants - Full UCD lifecycle - Design solution to persuade and retain customers...

Calling Senior UX Consultants!

Ladies and Gentleman! I have a very interesting role which will certainly
bring a smile to some of your faces... Are you currently in a role where you
have very little strategic input during a project, or want to gain exposure
to management? If so, then read on.

You might be wondering just how much strategy is involved. The ratio break
down is (40% strategy, 40% interaction design and 20% user research). This
is a Senior UX role in which you will work with 5 other senior consultants
and line-manage 1 junior consultant.

The beauty of this project is its complexity. The client is a financial
services company that needs to firstly understand ‘how’ to implement a ‘way’
of engaging users through the (Acquisition tool) process, with the view to –
attract – engage – nurture – onboard – encourage – converge. Using
Persuasive Design techniques you will influence users to respond to the
products/services in such a way that they return. My client will profit,
only if customers return to do the same thing, over and over and over again.

The company adopts an Agile approach to design and development and they have
incorporated ‘KANBAN’ a modified version of Agile. You will work in a
collaborative team and be involved at the conceptual stage right through to
execution. Working in an environment that embraces customer centred design,
it will allow you to focus on being a problem solver. The working culture
promotes collaboration too, since most staff disciplines involved in the
project all work under one roof.

After taking a tour through their offices, I felt that it is truly a
beautiful place to work. With a view of the Thames, a kitchen that provides

[Sigia-l] Calling UX Designers! - client-side - fashion, b2b, retail - £45,000

Calling UX Designers!

I am looking for a User Experience Designer who wants to work client-side in
a Global Brand that provides Publications, Business Information and
Intelligence to users across the Globe. You will be involved in gathering
stakeholder requirements, and translating this into a brief, from which you
will produce the interaction design. The objective is to stimulate and
empower customers, by creating beautiful UI designs on mobile/applications
and the web.

Detail:

This role has a strong emphasis on stakeholder management. You will
frequently gather business requirements and carry out presentations to
stakeholders. Conducting User Research is a very important aspect of the
role as it will be integral to formulating the brief to work from. The key
crux here is the ability to use the customer insights from BA’s, and use
Research to translate this into site-maps, wire-frames and mock-ups. >From a
cultural perspective, you will need to comfortable dealing with change. It
is likely that requirements within a project will change, or your resources
may be required in a different project from time to time, the main point
being, that you must take the view that the ultimate aim is complete the
brief on time.

Vision:

The company have a vast amount of products. If perhaps you prefer the
longevity that comes with working on products, and essentially ‘watching
them grow’ then this is the ideal role for you. The beauty of this role is
that Customer Centred Design has become a central component to design

Re: [Sigia-l] Suggestions for Portable Usability Lab

A laptop with a webcam, a screen capture program like silverback, a voice recorder (most smartphones have
these) a pad, a pile of post it notes and a sharpie.

I've never really needed more than this ever.
