[Sigia-l] Announcing 2 more keynotes for Interaction11: Bruce Sterling & Richard Buchanan!

Hi folks!

We are incredibly pleased to announce our next two invited keynote speakers,
both of whom have been pivotal in defining the course of our profession.

Bruce Sterling is an author, journalist, editor, and critic whose nonfiction
works include The Hacker Crackdown: Law and Disorder on the Electronic
Frontier (1992), Tomorrow Now: Envisioning the Next Fifty Years (2003), and
Shaping Things (2005).

Richard Buchanan is a professor of Design, Management, and Information
Systems at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of
Management. Prior to joining the Weatherhead faculty in 2008, he served
Carnegie Mellon University first as Head of the School of Design (1992-2002)
and then as Director of Doctoral Studies (2002-2008), during which time he
inaugurated Interaction Design programs at the Masters and Doctorate level.

With this blockbuster announcement and community submissions from all over
the globe, Interaction11 is once again shaping up as the conference of the
year.

[Sigia-l] ****Senior IA required for complex financial services gig.****

Hello all.

I currently have quite a hard core Financial services gig for major high
street bank. 4 weeks work. £400-£450. London. Start date; Monday 9th August,
will wait till 16th August though. 

-Vital that you are an experienced IA who is capable of getting your head
around complex problems. You need to be able to come up with clever
intelligent solutions for complex tough problems.

-Primarily a interface project, you will be required to create wireframes
and prototypes in Axure.

-Ideally you will have financial services experience, however as long as you
have experience in solving complex problems that will be enough. 

-Any experience in financial applications, trading portals will be of major
use.

[Sigia-l] ***UX contracer required to help major website engage with its customer and Target Audience-3 weeks..***

Hello UXs

I currently have an initial 3 week UX contract primarily based in
Isleworth/Hounslow along with an office in Central London to start ASAP.

My client is currently looking at the effectiveness of their current portal
with a view to update their existing site. Very key for my client that they
are specifically hitting their correct target audience and really highly
engaging with their designated customers. 

You will be assessing the structure, functionality and overall look and feel
of the site with the overall aim to make the client website more affective
in terms of directly hitting their target audience and to make sure it
really engages with their customers. Looking for UXs who can really expand
the vision of the site.

This is truly is a really interesting project for any User
Experience/Information Architects to get their hands on. Really pure IA
work, looking to make the whole experience and ease of the website as best
as it could possibly be.

Length; 3 weeks

Day Rate; Negotiable. (£350-£450)

Location; Isleworth and Central London.

Hello!!!!

I have 4 new UX contracts to start between 9th August-16th August all
ranging from 1 week to 1 month, London based. See below.

Contracts

1)      3 week UX contract primarily based in Isleworth (Hounslow) and
Central London to start ASAP. You will be assessing the structure,

2)      4 weeks experienced UX work based in Central London. The actual work
is a financial services project for a major high street bank. Vital that you
can solve complex problems with intelligent solutions. This is primarily a
interface project, however you will be required to create wireframes and
prototypes in Axure. Any experience in the financial services sector or in
financial apps or trading portals will be off major use but not essentials. 

3)      4 weeks UX work based in the funky Brick Lane, London. You need to
be an all round IA, who is happy to get their hand dirty implementing all
areas of IA.  More details coming shortly. Looks like complete website
redesign for major high street brand. £300-£400

4)      1 week UX contract based in Putney/Fulham area. Pure IA work, lots
of wireframes, sitemaps. Working for a major supermarket brand. £300-£400.
Start date Monday 9th August.

[Sigia-l] 2-3 month UX Contract-£350, Monday 16th August. (Peterbrough and Remote work)

I am currently looking for 2 User Experience consultants for a 2-3 month
gig, primarily based a few days on site in Peterborough and the rest can be
done remotely. 

You will be working on a complex UK transactional online pension scheme
website. You will be required to role out the UX across several areas of the
site. It is important you can take business requirements, turn them into
wireframes, sitemaps, prototypes ready for designs.

Important to be able to solve complex problems with intellectual solutions. 

Requirement gathering key.

Day Rate; £350 a day

Length2-3 months.

Start Date; 16th August. 

Location; 2-3 days in Peterborough-the rest can be done Remotely

(and then other products) business within an aggressive timespan with
substantial investment in trading systems.

Role:
UX Architect is required for eCommerce eTrading systems. Reporting to the
Head
Of UX, the candidate will work closely with development teams and our
customers,
envisioning and designing the applications we create. They will be
responsible
for every aspect of the system's user experience - the overall flow and
layout
of the screens, the fields and information presented, the actions and
