Re: Search Function

Are you sure? Some notes are indexed and do show up when searched, if
I'm not completely mistaken (I tried just now).

Re: What's the current decision on lists, and/not queries and private tags?

Hi Alex,

Both features (advanced search and bookmark lists) are still slated
for addition. My goal right now is to finish a bunch of backend
tasks and get the existing feature set fully bug-free before adding
anything new to the site. I expect this will take several more
weeks. But those two features are still high on the list of things
I want to add once I start feature development again.

Save to Mine

The text/button under a saved link (directly under the timestamp) in
somebody else's bookmarks that lets you copy that bookmark to your own
seems to be hidden, or have the text style set to white (on a white
background). It still works, I can click on it, but it I can't
actually see it.

I think it used to be a light grey, and I remember thinking it was too
light (you could hardly read it), but at least there was an indicator
of where to click. :)

cheers,

- Mayo

Navigation via Organize ignores imported bookmarks

Before I moved away from Delicious to Pinboard I uploaded my Delicious
bookmarks to Pinboard. This without problems.
But now when I want to organize my bookmarks on Pinboard I notice
something strange.
On the main page there is no way to go quickly to the last bookmark
(like in Delicious). The only way I found was via organize. So, select
"all", than "organize".
But the last one displayed isn't the actual last one (although the
numbers tell otherwise 729/729). The one displayed is the last of my
bookmarks I added after the upload. Hence, it seems that the
navigation does not include my imported bookmarks.
Note: last as in a descending list, so actually the first added.

/v1/posts/all?hashes not honored

Checking consistency with delicious API, it seems that using the endpoint above would not return documents with just hash and meta. This actually helps reducing the traffic from Pinboard. Please implement this.

As a side note, since Pinboard already imports many sites' stuff periodically, could I also import private bookmarks of a user given credentials?

Thanks.

Or some other way to only get only a changeset of bookmarks instead of having to pull down the whole list in an application that syncs the bookmark list data locally.  It might not be a big deal on desktop/browser applications but it is for mobile apps with slow network/cpu limitations.

Re: Search Function

Pinboard's search function is very sucks, I reported some bugs two or
three months ago and bugs still there!

For example I have a bookmark with title "UserAgentString.com - List
of Browser User Agent Strings", but I can't
search it by "useragent"!

WTH!

Yes, you said note text isn't indexed right now, OK, but why title is
also not indexed?

I have to add tags to bookmarks after added, if not, I'll have to find
it out slowly.

Pinboard does not make my life easier.

Re: Thoughts on Notes

would be great to have clickable links in notes the same way they work
in link descriptions
love your work!

How often does Pinboard look at Instapaper RSS

Ive recently started using this feature and it seems alittle slow
picking up links and sometimes it does seem to at all.

Anyone know how often it checks the rss feed?

Thanks.
