Status of phpGroupware

Hi all,

I am the project leader of LDAP Account Manager
(http://www.ldap-account-manager.org/) which also supports phpGroupware.
It looks like the project is dead. :(

Is there any fork of the software etc. that continued this project? Then
I would check if I can support this follow-up project.
Otherwise, I would have to simply remove my phpGroupware plugins... :(

phpgroupware.org dns

So Dan has switched the DNS over to one of his servers and has asked
me to give him the dns record so he can host them.  He wants to "do
things with the project".

I just host the server so I don't feel like I have any authority to
hand anything over to him.  Since the DNS was stolen away by Dan, I
can't email the CT list about this, so I'm posting it here publicly.

Does the project leadership approve this DNS move?  If there's no
answer at all, I'll consider the project defunct and turn off the
server, keeping the image for historical purposes.

For some history, in case no one remembers, the reason we have DNS
with the site hosting is because in the past it would take days or
weeks for Dan to respond to any change requests.

Phpgroupware 0.9.16.017 is Out !

Hi all,

Just to let you know that I have pushed a new version on the download
section of our web site.

This release fix a problem in addressbook and some issues the opencms
(and probably some others) have with the demo.

Please report any problems !

Hi Daniel,

This occurs with the new release ?

Did you use db sessions or php4 ones ?

This message should occurs only if there's a missing / corrupted kp3 string or sessionid. Please if you are
using cookies, purge them and retry to log in and saving addressbook data.

Several remote vulnerabilities have been discovered in phpgroupware, a
Web based groupware system written in PHP. The Common Vulnerabilities 
and Exposures project identifies the following problems:

CVE-2010-0403

A local file inclusion vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute
arbitrary PHP code and include arbitrary local files.

CVE-2010-0404 

Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities allows remote attackers to execute
arbitrary SQL commands.

For the stable distribution (lenny), these problems have been fixed in
version 1:0.9.16.012+dfsg-8+lenny2

For the testing distribution (squeeze) and the unstable distribution
(sid), these problems will be fixed soon.

We recommend that you upgrade your phpgroupware package.

Upgrade instructions

wget url
        will fetch the file for you
dpkg -i file.deb
        will install the referenced file.

If you are using the apt-get package manager, use the line for
sources.list as given below:

apt-get update
        will update the internal database
apt-get upgrade
        will install corrected packages

The CT Team is urging everybody to upgrade their phpgw installation to
0.9.16.016 now.

Some vulnerabilities have been pointed out by VUPEN Security and we have
fixed them in this release. More information are available on our website=

Please go to download it at http://download.phpgroupware.org/now
and then upgrade your installation.

Please don't forget to save your DB before doing the update !

yourfiles with the md5sum and check for the official package with my
