[chrokee] need help with redirecting rules

Hi,

I'am a noob with cherokee and i have an issue with redirection.
I'm migrating my old web server from Appache to cherokee and i havesome
troubles to translate tow redirecting rules :

# rediriger domaine.com vers www.domaine.com
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain\.fr$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*) http://www.domain.fr/$1 [QSA,R=301,L]

RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,9}\ /([^/]+/)*index.php
RewriteRule ^index.php(.*)$ http://www.domain.fr$1 [R=301,L]

I hope someone could help me to make this rules working.

Thanks for reading.

File uploads onto slow file systems/storage hardware

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Hallo,

we recently experienced some problems when uploading (large) files (>=30
MB) with cherokee: After a part of the upload has completed, a 500
Internal Server error is issued to the browser and the connection (and
upload) is terminated. These problems only occur on an embedded board
with a Cortex A8-ARM processor and a very slow NAND memory (where the
file shall be stored to). For file corruption prevention, the file
system (ext3) on this NAND is mounted in sync mode so that no data is
buffered in RAM but anything is written directly to NAND. Even if async
mode is used instead, the error occurs after some more time (probably if
the kernel's I/O buffer is full). cherokee delivers the upload to a
backend application attached via FastCGI.
My question is: Is there anything within cherokee that may cause such a
behaviour, if e.g. the backend application needs to long to handle the
request (because the file has to be stored to NAND before the request is
handled), or is it all the fault of the backend application? Are there
any configuration values in cherokee that may influence this behaviour?

Thanks,
Julian

Cherokee status

Hi there!

I've been lurking around the commits and mailing list this past three
months and it seems a bit... slow.
Last commits to dev and SPDY branches were like 3 months ago.

Are 'you' still there?
Is there anythong (not coding) I can do about it?

Thanks!

Re: Cherokee status

Yeah, i also watch the github page and the latest activity is 2 months ago.

This project is still alive?

Im using the latest github source and applyed some own fix but if the
project is abandoned it would be bad

Thanx for the answer!

Hi people, I don't think the project is dead at all, probably the SPDY design will need it's time,
as far as I remember Alvaro was working on that.

Greetings :)

And as you can see on github there are also forks on Github of people
working on it :) Still daily development goes on :)

Re: Cherokee status

I wonder the same thing sometimes... I'm going to eventually move all my sites off Apache, but don't want to move to Cherokee if it becomes abandoned. It's a great project, I'm using it for a few sites and really like it.

Re: Cherokee status

That's really sad. It's been a week and there's no official comment about this.

As far as I can see, there's no daily development. Looking at github, it seems there's been only 5 sporadic commits since February, counting all forks/branches.
