Hello Pascal, Could you please try to run the following command from a terminal: time /usr/share/cherokee/admin/server.py 4000 /etc/cherokee/ cherokee.conf In case something goes wrong, you'll see the error (python backtrace probably). Cheers! On 01-nov-08, at 00:47, Pascal Hartig wrote: > Hi, > > I'm new to cherokee and have some serious trouble getting cherokee- > admin > to run. ). The repository is not yet public, of course, as I'm waiting for it
to be created at Alioth.
Leonel (and whoever else is interested): Please get a user account at
Alioth and tell it to me, I'll add you to the project as soon as it is
approved.
For building the packages, I'm using the "git-buildpackage"
infrastructure - It is quite easy to follow, take a look at its howto
[1] as well.
I have so far worked with Cherokee's tarballs, but we might play with
tracking it straight out of its SVN tree (or we could even push
Cherokee into the twenty-first century and jump from SVN to Git!
