   It's kind of weird; dlerror() seems to be thread safe.

------------------
NAME
      dlerror - get diagnostic information

SYNOPSIS
      #include <dlfcn.h>
      char *dlerror(void);

Re: url rewriting - undefinied number of parameters

Hey guys,
is there really no one that can point me the right direction?

I've been trying some new things, but still without much success.
The first handler (photo1) works perfect, but the second one always
generates this message: "handler_redir.c:206: Too many groups in the
regex" and I only get a 404 page back..

Thanks!
Remo

Directory /photo1 {
    Handler redir {
        Show Rewrite "/(\d+)\.html\?(.*)$" "/viewphoto.html?id=$1&$2"
    }
}
Directory /photo2 {
    Handler redir {
        Show Rewrite "/(\d+)/(\d+)\.html\?(.*)$"
"/viewphoto.html?id1=$1&id2=$2&$3"
    }
}
http://localhost/photo1/1.html?sadf
http://localhost/photo2/1/1.html?sadf

   I have applied you patch (with a couple of modifications) in r790.
   Good stuff Ross!!

   I'm gonna integrate your code with the rest of tree. I'll let you
   know when it's committed.

It is committed now:

   http://www.cherokee-project.com/bugs/changeset/791

By the way, now we will have to update windows/cherokee.nsi in order
to register windows/cherokee.reg and handle win32_cherokeeserv.exe.

Thanks a million, great stuff! :-)

   I would rather use a couple of Request entries. Something like:

   Request "/photo/(\d+)\.html\?(.*)$" {
      Show Rewrite "/viewphoto.html?id=$1&$2"
   }

   .. and remember the priority (first entry is the highest priority).

Alvaro,

I'm pretty good with NSIS, so I volunteer to do this. I would like to
completely revamp the .nsi file, as there are several issues with the
current layout.

For example, an icon is created to edit the cherokee.conf file, but
this file is overwritten every time that install.bat is called. Also,
there is a DOS window visible, whenever the web server is running.

I would like to use a similar directory structure that is used when
running 'make install':

cherokee (in %ProgramFiles%)
├──bin
├──cherokee
├──share
└──var
    └──www

I would also like to use the TextReplace plugin
<http://nsis.sourceforge.net/TextReplace_plugin> to update the conf
files when the program is first installed.

Let me know if you would like me to proceed.

Thanks for including my patch, and the positive feedback,

-Ross

Perl CGI execution issue...

Hi there,

I'm using Cherokee version 0.5.6. I have a situation where I need to
execute some perl (and possibly also some bash scripts) via CGI. Due
to environment limitations I can't use FastCGI or SCGI. I presumed
this would be possible via the CGI handler using the following config;

  Extension pl {
    Handler cgi
  }

I'm getting a 500 response from the server when it's pointed at any
perl. I've done some tracing in the CGI handler code and it seems to
me that Cherokee is attempting the execute the script directly instead
of pushing it through the interpreter specified by the script (i.e.
"#!/usr/bin/perl).

Is this correct behaviour? Is it possible to execute interpreted
scripts via the CGI handler?

Cheers,
Eoin

Reminder: QA tests

Hi guys,

   I just wanted to remind to everybody who is working in the upcoming
   0.6 release that we ought to be executing the QA test set before
   each single commit.

   I have to admit that I haven't done it since a few weeks ago, so..
   shame on me!! (that isn't an excuse though :-)

   Seriously, from now on it's a must. With that little step we would
   be skipping almost all the potential regressions. For instance,
   right now, trunk fails on the test number 57.

   It's quite easy, it's enough to execute "cd qa && ./run-tests.py" in
   order to run the complete test battery.

   So, keep up the great job!! ..and have the QA test in mind :-)
