Seems like a bug. I apparently had a svn hickup on Ubuntu. I will
work on that issue this afternoon.

Re: Broad blue 'border' at the bottom of some pages

I’m struggling to understand your problem. I can’t see anything in particular which differs between the two sets of pages you mention.

That said I don’t see the query as relevant to BlueGriffon. Your pages are based on frames and tables so you need to find a forum dealing with such issues.

Sorry.

The pages all look 'normal' in Kompzer and BlueGriffon - this problem is only visible on uploaded pages. My browser is IE9.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of this blue border at the bottom of the CMS Link letter, The Friends, Photographs and Find Us pages?

I agree! There are so many little differences between the pages
(differently "centred" pages, gaps between the header and body areas,
widths of borders generally, and more) that the one picked on as an
example to correct seems somewhat trivial.

> That said I don’t see the query as relevant to BlueGriffon. Your

That is not so. It's just the domain name that is one of those that
cloaks the true address. Use the url:
http://www.s8nicholas.talktalk.net/index.html
and you remove the cloaking.

> and tables

That is true and that suggests that the original poster first needs a
basic tutorial on modern HTML coding, the use of CSS and the template,
which appears to have been generally trashed and rendered redundant by
the approach used to construct the site.

> so you need to find a forum dealing with such issues.

Agreed. This is a forum that is intended for queries that are specific
to BlueGriffon, but the original poster first needs a broader general
introduction to modern approaches to HTML and CSS coding.

This sounds like a margin issue around each image. However, what you
describe is a technique generally referred to as an "image map".
BlueGriffon does not have a built-in tool to generate these. In part,
because their use is often regarded as an obsolete approach to web
design.

It would be best if you could upload the page that demonstrates the
problem, and post the URL. It would then be easy to either:

- suggest a simple fix that you can do in BlueGriffon
- point you at sites that offer online image map code generation (or
free software with the facility) to be inserted into BlueGriffon
- suggest a revised approach to coding an image with clickable areas
on it.

Re: Downloading en English version in Germany

The version you're downloading contains all the languages. Download it, start it and go to Extras -> Einstellungen -> Erweitert and change from Versuche die Sprache des Betriebsystems zu verwenden to Installierte Sprache verwenden and then pick english in the list.

One-Click Templates add-on

Thanks to Jean-Pierre Reyt's heads up (and patience), I
have identified a well hidden bug in the One-Click
Templates add-on. It's related to the permissions of the
temporary directory in which the add-on downloads and
unzips a template. Weirdly, that bug did not happen in the
past. I am currently working on a fix, stay tuned.

Malware hijacked my search settings after software update to BG 1.6.1

Blue Griffon is EXCELLENT software and I personally supported it by purchasing approx. $50 worth of add ons to support its author.

I thought I carefully declined any add ons when installing 1.6.1 but apparently either I did not or some malware snuck in anyway.

Along with BG 1.6.1 I got unwanted "BrowserProtect" by Bit89 Inc software, a Delta Toolbar install and "Bundled Software uninstaller" with NO publishers name, no size showing, no version number and when I clicked on it taled to me about uninstalling the "Babylon toolbar" which I didn't know I had.  So 2 hours of research blater, a support call to Norton Live since I didn't know what else this unwanted software might have done to my PC, now I can go back to work.

To repeat: Blue Griffon is EXCELLENT software and I personally supported it by purchasing approx. $50 worth of add ons to support its author.

I wish the author would offer a paid version, malware and unwanted software-free, as I'd rather pay a price than waste 2 hours of time cleaning up after an unwanted install.

Thank you.

Bluegriffon issues under Linux

This is great WYSIWYG software but has few annoying issues in ver 1.6.1 under Kubuntu Linux v 12.10 with KDE ver 4.10

1. Under File ... New Wizard I'm getting :
XML Parsing Error: undefined entity
Location: chrome://bluegriffon/content/dialogs/newPageWizard.xul
Line Number 113, Column 7:      <checkbox id="polyglotCheckbox"
------^

2. Table: can't join cells in last row (ex. 4x4 table I can't join cells in 4th row)

3: CSS Properties:  Shadows..can't change  Horiz. offset and Vert. offset

Suggestions:

In CSS properties: what about to change "this element only its ID" list field to "all elements of class" by default and make bigger list field showing the class?

Thanks for Your job Daniel.

Re: Bluegriffon issues under Linux

New user, new installation.  Xubuntu 12.04.  Just installed yesterday, along with the complete add-on package.  I get the identical error message when invoking the new page wizard or by simply clicking the dropdown arrow on the "create a new page" icon and selecting "more options."
