How do I Redefine Shift key Shortcuts on Mac OS

Each time I try to type an upper case letter I get a dialog box instead. I would like to change all the power key
combinations to option or command-shift so that they don't interfere with my typing. Is that possible?

I thought I fixed that in the final 2.0.3 release, can you test that?

Re: How do I Redefine Shift key Shortcuts on Mac OS

I'm using the Mac OS (Snow Leopard) and do not have the problem of dialogs from
caps. It was indeed fixed in the final build. I'm using 2.0.3 rev 6430.

auto closing brackets

Hello, Im trying out bluefish and so far I really like it. I was wondering about something though, is there a way to get an automatic closing bracket or quote? For example, when I type an opening parenthesis a closing parenthesis is automatically put in. Thanks.

just some ideas:
1. If you rename the html file back to shtml again, what happens?
  I mean:
   1) close the html file in bluefish,
   2) rename it,
   3) open from bluefish the shtml
  Still being bleak text?

2. What version of bluefish are you using?

Re: auto closing brackets

Hi James,

Bluefish has input assistance facility with automatic completion.
Some of them include what you want.
It depends on what type of file you are editing, what extension the file has.

Give the right extension (File -> Save File As...) ,
make sure auto-completion is enabled (Document -> Auto _Completion Popup),
then try to input something.
If you can't see the automatic completion is not working,
send the type of your editing file to the list again.
