memory used by references

PHP function references require a bit more memory than the whole program without them.
There's no way to retrieve them directly from all-php.bfinc or store just the used references for the current file instead of thousands of lines of data, and free the memory after closing the file?
Demanding more CPU power would be acceptable if RAM usage could be reduced to half of the current size.

Google Summer of Code

Is here a student who would add some nice feature to bluefish for excitement, portfolio and paycheck?
Does someone from developers have time for mentoring?

the reference for PHP is about 800Kb, that is not spectacular compared
to the compiled syntax patterns, they use ~12Mb together. I added the
size of the reference data to the language file statistics in the terminal.

If you disable the PHP functions the compiled syntax patterns are
reduced to ~4.1Mb. If you disable both the PHP and javascript functions
the compiled syntax patterns are reduced to ~3.6Mb.

2.0.3 released

Hi, just a reminder that the Mandriva version is built.

I don't have access to the server or I'd go ahead
and upload it.

Sorry.
I think every day I would have some time tomorrow to finish.
I wanted to solve the case where only three points, a colon or
an underscore are added or deleted. But there are too many pitfalls.

Where (cs) there was 374 fuzzy, 133 untranslated
there are 157 fuzzy, 20 untranslated.

ru verified,
I commit.

How much time is required for mentoring? I'm interested to do mentoring,
but I'm a bit afraid I don't have enough time (and a mentor that doesn't
have time for a student is not really a good mentor..).

And what feature should the student work on? Do you have any suggestions
yourself?

what should the advanced search/replace dialog look like

Hi all,

I'm experimenting a bit with the search and replace dialog. We'll have a
simple search dialog in a bar above the text widget (like goto line, try
<ctrl>f in the latest svn snapshots), so the dialog will be just for the
advanced search. So my first change is to remove the expansion area, and
always show all options (one click less).

Furthermore I would like to add a "replace in files on disk" option, but
the dialog gets quite crowded if I try to do so. Any ideas how to do this?

Feel free to post any mockups or suggestions for search and replace.

Olivier

Re: what should the advanced search/replace dialog look like

Hello,

I think it should be added in the dropdown at replace, as a "all files in project" and eventually "all files on disk".
Also, we could have (under options) a "search backwards" and a file type input box, for modifying only php files for example.
