Help nedded abt G711

Hi all,

I am performing experiments ..... on ad-hoc networks, and want to test how linphone works in such networks.

Actually I felt that using G711 codec would yield better results, so I had been using G711, but now I want to
change the packet size ...i.e include more number of frames in each packet. But when I searched in the
source code, I could not find anything related to G711. I mean in the linphon.kdevprj file it was mentioned
under subdirs= G711, audio, gsmlib .......
I could see gsmlib and rest of the stuff, but G711 was not there.

So I am a bit confused. So I had like to know what I have to do to make necessary chages to linphone to ....send
multiple frames in one packet.

Please reply as soon as possbile

Thanking in anticipation.

You are right. However 0 is a correct value and there is no problem.
Normally SSRC should be a random number given for one and entire RTP
session. So this is not 100% RTP compliant but it does not affect
performance and functionnality.

problem with linphone communication with desktop and iPAQ

Hi! I am testing linphone's communication between the desktop and iPAQ
version.
However, there seems to be a problem with the codec. The desktop calls
the iPAQ but after the connection, both parties ring but no voice is
transmitted.
This message also appears at the iPAQ linphone screen

Linphone-Core Message: Refusing codec 110 (speex/8000/1)
Linphone-Core Message: Refusing codec 3 (GSM/8000/1)
Linphone-Core Message: Refusing codec 0 (PCMU/8000/1)
Linphone-Core Message: Refusing codec 8 (PCMA/8000/1)
Linphone-Core Message: Refusing codec 101 (telephone-event/8000/1)

I tried this while the speex codec in ARM is disabled and also tried it
while it is enabled. Still no voice is transmitted.

Attached are the configuration and log for desktop
Thank you

Mildred

Hello,

Is there a way to execute linphone with a batch file.

I want to be able to connect automatically on a specific address and

Problem: Refusing codec...

Hi all!

I've just installed Linphone 0.11.0 (with Libosip 0.9.7) and when trying to phone my friend who has the very
same versions he gets the following strange error message:
---
LinphoneCore-Message: Refusing codec 101 (telephone-event/8000)
| INFO1 | <sdpcontext.c: 114> sdp_context_notify_inc_req: negociation returned: 200
---
Everything else seems to work fine, the INVITE, the /dev/dsp-device is found and Linphone indicates that
we are connected. When we try Sipomatic we can hear Simon's French accent 100% ;)
We have tried to change codecs, change ports (neither of us are using any firewalls!) and restart the
programs a couple of times but everytime the receiver keeps on getting the error message as stated above.

Please help!

Salutations distinguées,
Magnus

Re: Problem: Refusing codec...

Hi,

Would you please send me all debug messages linphone prints on stdout
and stderr ?
In fact there is no error in what you send me, so I guess the error is
somewhere else.
Thanks
SImon

Re: Problem: Refusing codec...

Can you tell what kind of hardware you are using ? processor type,
soundcard, and sound modules being used (use /sbin/lsmod )

No.
I'm not sure at all that your problem is related to your sound
hardware/drivers, but this is possible.
The most amazing thing for me is:

oRTP-stats-Message:
   Global statistics :
 packet_sent=0
 sent=0 bytes
 packet_recv=0
 hw_recv=0 bytes
 recv=0 bytes
 unavaillable=2229 bytes
 outoftime=0
 bad=0
 discarded=0

Re: Problem: Refusing codec...

I'm now pretty sure that the problem is related to your audio driver. It
is probably only half duplex, so that read() to the sound card always
return 0 ; while write() to the soundcard works.
Please use alsa-drivers (the best audio driver of the world), not the
kernel official one. see http://www.alsa-project.org
Linux-2.5 embeds alsa driver officially.
If you are using debian, you have to install alsa-modules-2.4.20 and you
will prompted for your card type so that installation goes well.
For the Compaq Armada M300 PIII 500Mhz with support for maestro compiled
into the kernel, then you 'll have to get rid of this support. (use a
standart kernel of your favourite distribution).
