Youtube trailer broken

Hi,

I guess my last request for help got missed. What do we do since youtube is no longer accepting the old version of the API? I up graded to 3.0.2 (mistake) and I forgot to write down my old API key. When I went to youtube to get a new one I saw that the old key is no longer used. When is videodb going to be modified to take advantage of the new API format?

Re: Youtube trailer broken

As soon as I can find a volunteer to commit a patch. I've taken a quick look and couldn't fix it immediately- and unfortunately do not have the time for fixes right now.
I would very much appreciate a patch and a test case- both could get committed to CVS in no time.

Looking forward to your help,
Andi

Re: Youtube trailer broken

Actually- upgrading should not be requried:

Who needs to upgrade?

Since YouTube still supports API version 1, you only need to upgrade if you want to use one of the new features available in version 2. However, we recommend that you upgrade so that users of your website or application can access those new features.

So- not sure what's wrong here...

Re: Youtube trailer broken

When I upgraded. I forgot to write down my old format youtube key. When I went to get another key from youtube I was not able to get a legacy key. It looks like the new api parameter looks something like this http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos?q=casino+trailer It used to look like this http://www.youtube.com/api2_rest?method=youtube.videos.list_by_tag&dev_id=DEVELOPER_ID&page=1&per_page=20&tag=iron%20maiden

I tried to modify the API call in the youtube.php file. It seems to be getting a valid response but not videos show up in trailer.php

I grabbed this out of my httpClient.log

Allociné fetch script broken

Hi list,

I can't remember who fixed the Allociné script last time, but he is
welcomed to have a look at it again. Except from searching movie titles,
this script has been returning empty fields for the past few days.

Also an improvement would be to convert the movie title used in the
search box to US-ascii before submitting it to Allociné : I noticed that
the search always failed when the name contains diacritics (é, à...). A
minor bug, easy to circumvent but which may confuse first time users.

As a long time user of videoDB I take this opportunity to thank all the
devs for this great application : my database has been growing steadily
up to ~1500 movies whithout major problems or slowdowns ; so far, so
good. A suggestion you may include in your roadmap : I'd love to have
customisable links between movies, similar to the IMDB
"recommendations". Though I can't figure how easy it would be to
implement...

Re: Youtube trailer broken

Great job. You got it mostly working. For some strange reason, not all of
the videos return a youtube trailer. Example:
Planet Terror does not return any results, but when I put the raw http url
query into the browser I get results

[ videodb-Bugs-2118491 ] entering filesizes > 4294967296 fails

Summary: entering filesizes > 4294967296 fails

Initial Comment:
On the Edit-page entering filesizes larger than 4294967295 bytes results in an output of 4096 mb. If the
edit view is opened again 4294967295 is shown in the Filesize: field regardless of the number you entered.
One can say the entered filesize gets capped at 4096 mb.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Comment By: Dan F. B. (zehamster)
Date: 2009-02-08 20:05

Message:
It's because size is stored as INT (which is unsigned 32bit, 2^32 =
4294967296, 4096mb max value)
The fix is easy, just change the field type to BIGINT (64bit, about 17 000
000 TB max size)
