Simple request : mini-pcie analog TV capture card

Hello List,

I'm after a somehow quite simple information: I'm looking for a
mini-pcie TV tuner/capture card. I simply need to plug my cable TV
decoder to such a card to "watch" TV on Linux. I've got success with a
Hauppauge 950Q USB stick and TV time but this is not a one-time
project and we would need to replicate it in a somehow large scale, so
a mini-pcie card would fit the hardware best.

Does anybody know any mini-pcie model analog card that are still
available on the market and that is compatible with this need ?

I've looked at linuxtv.org lists but couldn't find one.

Habey has a new model, based on the ATI Theater 750 HD chip, which is
not supported.

AVerMedia has some models too, but none seems to have analog mode
working on Linux.

Any suggestions would be kindly appreciated.

Regards,

Fernando

Quickcam express: Not able to capture video

Hi all,

I'm using a 'Logitech Quickcam Express' (046d:0840) camera to capture video.
I'm using the STV06xx driver for this camera. I'm using a v4l2 example code
as my application along with the above mentioned driver. The example code
can be found at the below link:

http://v4l2spec.bytesex.org/spec/capture-example.html

When I run the application, the kernel crashes. I'm running the application
on the AT91 linux4sam kernel running on an AT91SAM9G45-EKES board. I've
included the error messages below:

Hi,

I am going to buy a TV turner card Leadtek WinFast DTV2000DS Dual HD
Tuner for a linux box, but I could not find what chip set in that
card. Could anyone advice if that card is supported by v4l or not?

Thank you.

Kind Regards.

Setting up Philips SPC 200NC webcam

Apologies if this is too basic for here - please redirect me to
documentation or another mail list if appropriate.

I have looked through a couple of years of archives and found the thread
"Skype and libv4l" from March 2009 but I do not understand it enough to
take any action.

I have a Philips SPC 200NC USB webcam connected to my OpenSuSE system,
which I want to use with Skype.

I have attempted to follow the HowTo from
<http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/html_single/Webcam-HOWTO/>

I installed the pwc driver and have /dev/video0 present.

xawtv-3.95 running on Linus/i686 (2.6.31.14-0.4-default) will display
webcam video in a window so I'm nearly there. On startup it reports:

This is xawtv-3.95, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.31.14-0.4-default)
xinerama 0: 1280x1024+0+0
/dev/video0 [v4l2]: no overlay support
v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway
ioctl: VIDIOC_G_STD(std=0xb73f4f40b7770199
[PAL_B,PAL_H,PAL_I,PAL_K,PAL_M,SECAM_B,SECAM_D,SECAM_G,SECAM_K,SECAM_K1,SECAM_L,ATSC_16_VSB,(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null)]):
Invalid argument

the xawtv menu shows video source zc3xx

Cheese 2.28.1 flickers the webcam indicator when loading but only ever
displays the test pattern.
