Re: AW: Leadtek WinFast TV USB II Deluxe

Knowing how well companies respond to linux questions I wasn't expecting
much from Leadtek. So after keeping the device plugged in for several
hours I found out that it had warmed up some. Anyway I opened it up and
the plastick piece (it is really made of plastic) came off this time. I
guess the heat had softened the epoxy enough. The chip is not Conexant
which makes this the first Leadtek product that does not have a conexant
chip. This one is Philips SAA7114H and there are several other chips
made ny eMPIA Technology but I have no idea what their use is yet.
Anyway, I am a little bit happier that the chip is Philips since the
driver (provided that it works) is a little bit more mature. I still
haven't gotten the tuner to work so if someone knows how to get a usb
tuner with SAA7114 working I would appreciate the help.
