It compiles again.

The libfaad problem remains, though. It fails on a K6-2 W2K machine,
but it works on a P4 XP box, strange...

Some suggestions for MPlayer-win32...

Hello...
I have some suggestions for MPlayer-win32.

1.I hope osd/subtitle font size/font could set up individually.
e.x. osd font:Arial, size:9       subtitle font:MS Gothic, size:20

2.I hope subtitle can change color.

3.I hope when subtitle is too long and out of monitor,
MPlayer can display the out-of-screen words to the next line automatically.
I think it's very very important, please consider this function.

P.S. My English is very poor, if you guys can't understand my meaning,
I'll try to describe my thought in another way.

Are you using binary packages?
If yes then get a newer package from
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/win32-beta
Otherwise just remove the dr=yes line from your mplayer/config file.

another frontend :)

http://www.extra.hu/deje/mpf_index.html

btw, for any mingw mplayer packagers out there
here is a list of things i'd like to see in the mingw
builds.. dunno if its possible, lots of compile errors
for stuff like gif...

gif support (-vo gif, -vc gif)
encrypted vob support (dunno if this is still a problem)
aalib support, caca works nice but still no -vo aa ;\
libjpeg? -vo jpeg (forgot if this works or not)

things that work, but some packages not include!
libpng
libogg, libvorbis
libcaca (now works nicely from CVS)
mencoder -oac mp3lame and -ovc xvid

Joysticks

Sorry for the newbie question. I've learned a lot on my own from reading
around, but couldn't find this one.

Where can I find out how to use a joystick for input? Is it possible to
assign my own buttons? Does this include gamepads? Does this currently
work in Windows at all?

Thanks for your help.

The only joystick interface MPlayer has, IIRC, is the linux /dev/js*
interface. In that, you can assign as many buttons as your drivers
recognize to arbitrary mplayer commands through input.conf file.

As for windows, someone should give MPlayer joystick input support
through DirectX or whatever it's input equivalent is. I'm not going to
be that someone, however.

Good luck,

Such as?

If there's a compile error for a long time, odds are that most people
(or at least most devs) aren't seeing it. So please send a bugreport
about the gif errors so I can fix it.
