Hi,

I was wanting to look at the code, but the gnome git repo appears to be

Package for Arch Linux

Hello,

Some months ago I adopted the gnome-subtitles AUR package [1] and I recently saw in the website that the package is in official repositories of Arch Linux, but unfortunatelly it is not anymore (I don’t know why, though). I think it would be a good idea to update the gnome-subtitles website.

If you guys think so, here’s a text that should be OK:

Install

Gnome Subtitles is in the Arch User Repository (AUR). Download the tarball, run makepkg and then install using pacman -U.

Thank you!

[PATCH 0/3] Add optional reaction time compensation

This series adds the possibility to compensate for reaction time.

Whenever you set subtitle {start, end} {times, frames}, we try to
compensate for reaction delay by subtracting a user-defined time
from these properties.

There's one more coming in today, so stay tuned!

Cheers,

[PATCH 0/2] Add 'Insert at current position' Edit Menu entry

NOTE: depends on my previous 'Delay Reaction' patchset!

This adds a 'Insert at current position' menu entry and shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+D)
that allows for quick creation of subtitle lines during playback. Reaction time
compensation is built in, provided the previous patchset is committed.

Best of luck, that's all for tonight!

No picture at all

Hello!
Recently, I have downloaded Gnome Subtitles to my Debian Testing. It
works fine, sound is there, but no picture/video. What is going on? What
I am missing? I built my Gnome bottom-up, so to say, starting with core
and adding only what I need. It could be that I miss something from
there, but Aptitude/Synaptic should resolve that I think.

Please, help!

Best,
PM

Gnome Subtitles, Tango icon

Hi !

For people who use and appreciate Tango icons, I've made a little Tango style icon for Gnome Subtitles.
The color is the one from the original icon - and not "butter" from the Tango palette.
Here is it :

You can find the SVG source and scalable icon as an attached file.

Kindly,
Nicolas.

- Allow to close a file without quitting the application (File Close)
- Replace All now replaces translations too, besides the normal subtitle text
- Don't change the timing mode, after saving a file, to reflect the timing mode

  * Gstreamer Playbin no longer builds as a separate package (no separate dll,
although the .so lib is still built separately)
  * GStreamer events are now received asynchronously, which means the user
interface adapts to the video in an asynchronous/non-blocking way
- Fixed some bugs in the video playback engine:
  * Loading a file when the previously loaded file wasn't played
  * Video position not being correctly updated after loading the video and
    before starting playback
- Display an error dialog when the help contents cannot be opened
