wmv to real

Hello,
I'm trying to convert an windows-media-video (wmv) to real media (rm). I
using the code below.

ffmpeg video.wmv -vcodec rv20 -acodec mp2 video.rm
or
ffmpeg video.wmv -vcodec rv20 -acodec ac3 video.rm

But both times the video.rm file doesn't run in the real player (newest
generation).
My test-machine is an windows-pc.
The final solution have to run on linux and on windows, because of this it
isn't possible to use the real-producer.

This is the output, which i get during encoding:
FFmpeg version SVN-r7215, Copyright (c) 2000-2006 Fabrice Bellard, et al.

  libavformat version: 51.6.0

Maybe even better to look into kino, which uses ffmpeg now.
Code with libdv and/or ffmpeg can be compiled into kino AFAIK.

"Yum" means you updated ffmpeg using a precompiled RPM package. Note
that you didnt mention the exact platform, nor the source of your
update. But in this case it would not have helped: prepackaged versions
are not supported here, only the latest svn compiled by yourself.

Either install that (after cerefully removing any ffmpeg-related stuff
left over from the packaged install!) or request support from the RPM
maintainer.

Greetings,

This is far too old.

Please follow instructions at http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/download.html
and rebuild, then try again.

About ffplay play the MP3 format file

hi,

 I use the source code on the 2007-06-28 snapshot. I built it on Linux (X86-64) with shell script as following:
  #!/bin/bash
  make distclean;
   ./configure  --enable-gpl  --enable-ffplay --enable-ffmpeg --enable-pthreads --enable-audio-oss
--enable-mpegaudio-hp --enable-decoders   --enable-parsers

  make -j8

  make install
  ffplay test.mp3
The console show:
    SDL_OpenAudio:
    test.mp3: could not open codecs

I think the ffplay should support MP3 format internal, maybe I'm wrong?

Any advice is helpful!!

Hi,

try to add --enable-libmp3lame after installing lame libs
(http://lame.sourceforge.net/index.php).
