plyaing with JMF

Anyone got ffserver successfully streaming RTP format streams to JMF
(JMStudio)?

I've been trying it, but JMF keeps complaining that it can't construct a
player for the RTP data stream.

Thanks,
Greg

hmm, I found this:
http://www.openmash.org/lxr/source/codec/tmndec

It's a h263 decoder based on tmn 3.0 sources, I've also found a person who
seems to have the tmn 3.0 code and emailed him, dunno if the email is still
valid.

The TMN 3.0 sources used to be available from http://ubc.ca, but they no
longer distribute it as stated somewhere there.

i know, i found that too and used it to test obmc & alterantive inter vlc, but
its just the decoder, so to test something i have to implement encoding
first, which is more difficult, for example for AIC we currently only use 1
of 3 prediction cases for encoding, so it doesnt say anything if tmndec can
decode our streams ...

OK, I found tmn 3.0 in an ancient cvs repository and tmnpatch-3.2.0.tgz in an
mailinglist archive. See what you can do with it:
http://mplayerhq.hu/~atmos4/tmn-3.0.tar.bz2
http://mplayerhq.hu/~atmos4/tmnpatch-3.2.0.tar.bz2

Damn, those files where hard to find!

I also did a patch that patches the tmn-3.0 to 3.2.0 and removes the custom
crap (../tmn-x/libh263coder.a) it builds from the Makefile:
http://mplayerhq.hu/~atmos4/tmn320patch.bz2 (apply in tmn-3.0 dir)
With that patch 3.2.0 compiles, dunno if it works correctly, I guess it
depends on wether there was a 3.1.0 aswell ;-)

Mpeg4 codec derive

Hi,
the codec for mpeg4 in libavcodec is a porting of the divx or xvid source?
The Four CC of MPEG is divx or dx50, so i'd want know if the source code for
this coding are GPL (like xvid) or LGLP because is a new implementation.
Thank'you.
Rudy
