I've just discovered the power of the Translate Plugin applied to a
Title. It's really impressive and incredibly useful for us non-native
speakers.
Not a word about it on the Manual.
I really think it is worth being well documented. But I know that
Cinelerra is a little buggy with character encoding and I wonder how
well non ISO8859-1 languages are supported.
When I apply the Translate Effect to an Italian title this is translated
to English (in the Compositor output) nearly in real time.
When I have an English title this is translated to my locale (it_IT) at
same speed. Both are ISO8859-1 languages.
I tried to experiment a little with ISO8859-2 and ISO8859-15 but I admit
this goes beyond my knowledge. :-/
