[Trac] ImportError: Could not import settings 'indigo.settings' (Is it on sys.path? Does it have syntax errors?): No module named settings

I'm writing a Trac plugin that interacts with an existing Django
environment. I'm trying to use the following code, which works nicely
when used in a Mercurial hook:

	sys.path.append("/var/www/sites/indigo/")
	os.environ['DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE'] = 'indigo.settings'
	from django.core.management import setup_environ
	import settings
	project_directory = setup_environ(settings)

This works fine, but if I then do:

	from django.contrib.auth.models import User

I get:

	ImportError: Could not import settings 'indigo.settings' (Is it on
sys.path? Does it have syntax errors?): No module named settings

The exact same code works in my Mercurial hook, so any ideas what
might be different?
Thanks

another option would be to use one of the plugins to send the
notification email via a mail server that can track when a message has
been read. you may need to modify the notification, and possibly
automate the actions that are taken when someone receives, and then
opens the email to say, fill a file that can be picked up by a cron
job and the update the wiki page of choice accordingly via say,
XMLRPC.

It might also be helpful if you pointed us to a tool that does exactly what
you want, and someone might have an idea of how to accomplish this same
function in Trac.

Hi all,

I'm looking for a way to send a kind of a newsletter (email) to all
users of my trac project.
Any suggestions? ;-)

  You could query the database for all available email addresses and then use unix mail, or something else to send the newsletter:

 select value from session_attribute where name='email';

  Will give you all entered email addresses.

Re: [Trac] Newsletter to all users?

Does anyone know how to change to a daily summary, or no emails at all, without leaving the group?  I would like to stay connected, but not using trac enough right now to need the constant input.

I looked and looked in my google account, and I couldn't find the switch.

Thanks, Ariel

Re: [Trac] Change Trac user group email settings

From http://groups.google.com/group/trac-users?hl=en if you're logged in, there should be a "edit my membership" link on the right-hand column.  There's some digest options for your subscription from there.  http://groups.google.com/group/trac-users/subscribe?hl=en is the direct link, if that works.

[Trac] Re: Disabling Automatic Auth Login to Domain

I realize this is more of an Apache set up issue than Trac, but has
any one using Trac attempted such a configuration?

Thanks.

Re: [Trac] Change Trac user group email settings

Thanks for the links.  I actually had already set it to
Abridged Email (No more than 1 email per day)
But I'm still receiving multiple emails.  If it continues, I should probably contact google.
