problem in latest trac-post-commit-hook

Hi,

I just updated to the latest in /trunk and now I have an error running
trac-post-commit-hook from /contrib. I noticed it was changed in r3551.

The error is:
Unexpected error while processing ticket ID 2840: 'Environment' object
has no attribute 'abs_href'

Am I missing some config. option or something?

Thanks alot,
Greg

Re: problem in latest trac-post-commit-hook

If I remember right, when I did the upgrade there where new properties that needed to be added to the call.  One of them was the URL of your trac site.  That sounds like what  the "abs_href" might mean.

Take a look at lines 38 and 45 here http://trac.edgewall.org/browser/trunk/contrib/trac-post-commit-hook  To see what I mean.

I think that someone has made Spanish translation (which is outdatet),
but problem in general is that Trac really doesn't have support for
translations.

And some things, like ticket statuses etc. still needs to be in English
due internals of Trac.

IIRC there is old ticket and talks about replacing clearsilver with more
robust, I8N supportive templating system.

Not with the french translation, but it should be considered as a
hack: Trac does not support localisation/internationalisation yet.
This is a feature planned for http://trac.edgewall.org/milestone/0.11

I guess (and hope) it will be "markup" ;-)

No response from trac (trac.cgi) for SOME changesets.

When accessing some changeset(s), NOT ALL, trac does not respond anymore and finishes with “Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.” on the web client side.

Looking at the consumed CPU, trac.cgi uses almost 100%.

The following messages have been logged in httpd/error_log and in trac.log

[Tue Aug 01 12:31:31 2006] [error] [client 172.xx.xx.xx] Premature end of script headers: trac.cgi, referer: http://h-presto/tracsvn/presto/changeset/326

Does anyone have an idea on the problem I meet, and better if you have a solution?

Re: problem in latest trac-post-commit-hook

That sounds right as well but I am already passing the URL to the
script. This seems to be related to a change in r3550 but unfortunately
my python is not proficient enough to understand what is going on or how
to debug it....

Thanks,
Greg

Changing usernames

Hi,

Not sure if I've used Trac correctly, but our usernames are our email
addresses. We now need to change the email addresses, looking at the DB
structure there is no easy way to do this other than run a load of
update queries directly against the DB. Can anybody advise if there is
an easy way to accomplish this, and also if there is a way of having a
username associated with an email address which could then be
subsequently changed.

Many thanks
Seb

Re: No response from trac (trac.cgi) for SOME changesets.

Which release of Trac are you using?

Very large changeset may take a (very) long time to render, and may
even exhaust the physical resources on your server. Does this error
occur on such large changesets or randomly, whatever the changeset
size?

The upcoming release (0.10) comes with a new feature to limit the
maximum size of a changeset view, see
http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracIniMacro#changeset-section

ps: please avoid posting in HTML, this makes your email difficult to read.

Cheers,
Manu
