Templates and stuff

Hi,

I was wondering if there's a page of templates and such for people
setting up Trac to use.

For example, some different style sheets to give the page a different
look. And some clever reports that can be copied and pasted in.

It'd be neat to have a page of these contributions somewhere if there
isn't one already.

PS: Hopefully I've subscribed from the right address this time; the
university rewrites email addresses to the "full, official version" when
mail is sent so I've had to bother the admins a couple of times with
past emails that didn't look like they were from me.

Migrating CVSTrac wiki to Trac wiki

Hi,

I couldn't find a program to convert a cvstrac wiki to a trac wiki, so I
threw together a simple script myself.

In case anyone wants it, I put a copy (under the GPL) at:

http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~sarahg/wiki2wiki.pl

It's rushed code written for once-off use by myself, so don't expect too
much from it. If you want more, add features and bux fixes yourself :)

Import Error

I cannot seem to figure out what to make of this:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/local/bin/trac-admin", line 34, in ?
    from trac import sync
  File "/usr/local/lib/python2.3/site-packages/trac/sync.py", line 22, in ?
from svn import fs, util, delta, repos, core
  File "/usr/local/lib/python2.3/site-packages/svn/fs.py", line 28, in ?
    import libsvn.fs
ImportError: No module named libsvn.fs

any ideas?

Re: Import Error

Sounds like you do not have the python Subversion bindings installed on
your system.

See http://projects.edgewall.com/trac/wiki/TracInstall

Subversion Python bindings
[http://svnbook.red-bean.com/svnbook-1.1/ch08s02.html#svn-ch-8-sect-2.3]
(Caveat: Trac uses the SWIG [http://www.swig.org/] bindings included in
the Subversion distribution, not the PySVN [http://pysvn.tigris.org/]
package!)

Actually, it looks like the Subversion bindings were only
half-installed. Since
"/usr/local/lib/python2.3/site-packages/svn/fs.py" exists, the bindings
must be partially installed, but it appears that only the Python portion
of the bindings was installed, and the libsvn portion that contains the
native libraries is missing.

These appear to be self built since they're in /usr/local/. I haven't
built the Python bindings myself, but it appears that you probably
skipped a step in building/installing the bindings so the native
portions didn't get compiled.

www.clearsilver.net out of commission?

Hi,

I'm trying to install all the Trac prerequisites Trac on Windows XP. I've got
everything except for Clearsilver. I visited their website last week, but since
last night Firefox says "www.clearsilver could not be found" and ping says "no
such host". I also tried from the office and got a similar result. Does anyone
know if this is just a temporary problem? Also, is there an alternate site for
downloading it?

That is weird. Now I can ping clearsilver.net (IP 66.7.159.70) but neither
Firefox nor Internet Explorer think there's a web server at www.clearsilver.net.
I can tracert clearsilver.net and it ends up in c12.neotonic.com.
www.neotonic.com does come up in a browser, but it's a single page with an email
address for support. http://c12.neotonic.com and http://66.7.159.70 both
redirect to www.clearsilver.net and fail.

I use Firefox (1.0) and get no issue. You may rather experience a DNS
trouble...

btw, I guess the URL you're looking for is
http://www.clearsilver.net/downloads/clearsilver-0.9.13.tar.gz

www.clearsilver.net out of commission?

I had this problem in Firefox 1.0 last night from home, attached to my
office VPN.

Now in the office, the problem is gone and the site is coming just fine.
I'm wondering if they did a DNS switch and it took a while to
propagate around the globe. Some were seeing problems, some must have
already gotten the new.

Just a hunch.
