[Trac-dev] Add 'self' to Interface class method stubs

Hello,

Are there any reasons why Interface methods stubs lack `self` first parameter?
If they had `self` parameter - they could be copy-pasted into plugins as-is.

I'd like to see that as well. Just a small annoyance but still...

[Trac-dev] auto-reload failure by design

Hello,

I think that everybody here will be interested to know about the bug
with auto-reload mode. It stops to work once there was a syntax error
in developed file.

http://trac.edgewall.org/ticket/9602

I wonder why nobody spotted it before? Does everybody use mega tools
like Wing IDE that do not allow syntax errors to slip? Am I the only
one with plain text editor?

Well, thanks for spotting this.

No mega tool, even no famous Vim here, just nano, but I don't use
auto-reload mode either. Really, I still kill tracd and restart all the
time while developing. :-)

RE: [Trac-dev] Trashable model items (Wiki, Ticket, etc.)

Updated patch attached: DB changes done properly and a few extra tweaks
so that other portions of the code are aware of deleted pages and behave
appropriately.

Best regards,
Adam Piper

The main reason is that you cannot instantiate the interface class by
itself since it has only unbound methods.

If the methods were default bound instance methods, then you could
instantiate the interface class, which would not make that much of a
sense.

How about attachments? It would be great to be able to store them for
admin to recover them.

[Trac-dev] Preparing Trac 0.12.1

  Hello,

As we have a good deal of useful fixes in 0.12-stable, we can think
about making a 0.12.1 release. Not to mention the fact that the 13th of
September, we'll be 3 months after the 0.12 release, a good timing.

So let us know if there's something important which is still missing.
Also, most probably not all of the 15 tickets still scheduled for 0.12.1
will make it.

I'd say we can enter a string freeze of one week after this week-end,
followed by a 0.12.1rc1 release candidate (so approximately the 13th).
After the usual one week of intensive testing, if everything is fine
(e.g. no Python 2.4 breakage for example...), we'll do the actual release.

As a side-note, we dropped the idea of doing a last 0.11.7.1 or 0.11.8
release. Focus should rapidly shift toward the new stuff for 0.13, and
doing 0.12-stable maintenance releases is enough of a burden ;-)
Of course, if someone else has enough interest in continuing the
maintenance of 0.11-stable and has the proper experience to do so, he
would be welcomed.

[Trac-dev] Re: auto-reload failure by design

i have noticed. many times. it's always been the "it's seems easier to
manually restart than start working on a fix" for me.

same here.
but I don't think a fixing patch will be rejected... :-)
