Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Arnaud Quette <aquette.dev <at> gmail.com> * Package name : coherence Version : 0.2.1 * URL : https://coherence.beebits.net/ * License : mostly MIT, some parts under Python and AFL licenses Programming Lang: Python Description: Python UPnP framework Coherence is a framework written in Python enabling your application to participate in digital living networks, at the moment primarily the UPnP universe. . Its objective and demand is to relieve your application from all the membership/the UPnP related tasks as much as possible. . The core of Coherence provides a (hopefully complete) implementation of * a SSDP server, * a MSEARCH client, * server and client for HTTP/SOAP requests, and * server and client for Event Subscription and Notification (GENA) Note that: - Coherence is needed for Elisa (ITP #377777) UPnP support, - I've checked the source tree thoroughly. The only missing explicit legal mention (header) is for tests/rpc_client.py (I guess MIT too). And that's a tiny point since it's a trivial code that is not installed (so only present in the orig.tar.gz file) - possible future conflict with other UPnP implementations (such as(Continue reading)

Here are my working configs for the PVR 350 remote to use with Elisa. This might work with other Hauppage remotes, but I haven't tested them. Feel free to post it on the wiki or include it with the distribution. Hello teams! Here is the report of the meeting Arnaud Quette, Lionel Martin (Elisa team leader), and myself had last week which was meant to start off an effective and productive UMC and Elisa collaboration. 1) Planning the future On the UMC side, the first release of the distribution will be synchronised with Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon (due on 18/10/2007) that will include the latest version of Elisa. Meanwhile, packages will be available in the official Gutsy archive, along with an unofficial Feisty one. Alpha and beta versions of the distribution will also be released. On the Elisa side, a stable development version (0.3) will be released in time for GUADEC (15/07/2007). It will feature: - code/API revamp: cleaner, easier, more possibilities - functionnalities close to the ones in version 0.1.6 - first draft of the personal video recorder (PVR) plugin (*very* demanded feature) 2) Weekly meeting A meeting will be held on a weekly basis on IRC (freenode network). They will be focused on reporting what has been done and what is still to be done to reach the plans. Next one will happen wednesday (13/06/2007) at 19:00 UTC (be careful french and spanish folks, for you it's 21:00) on #elisa. 3) Artwork(Continue reading)

umc logo and job

Hello,
I'm the elisa's graphic designer. I hope
we will make a good job together.
I propose to you my contribution about the UMC
logo :
My feeling was that a screen, a musical note or a
picture are a bit too classical. I placed in the center a sort of play button
because a media center is mainly about playing media.
quickly I will try to make some proposals for umc's
background and icons.
(and sorry, my english sucks)

Hello teams, again :) A little fix against yesterday's meeting report: the PVR feature will *not* see a usable draft appear in time for GUADEC. However, Benjamin has joined us to work full time on that. Florian

My Elisa doesn't look anything like that; is the plan to move to a mythtv-style front menu, as these screenshots show? I personally like the "just icons along the bottom of the screen" style that my current elisa installation (0.16, I think) has. sil -- -- x^n + y^n = z^n where n > 2: no solutions I have a wonderful proof of this but I can't write it now because my train is coming. -- Graffito on New York subway
