Summary: xdvi -unique does not insert page into page history

Initial Comment:
A call to

xdvi -unique file.dvi

to load a different file into xdvi will not insert the
first page of file.dvi into the page history; only
explicitly mentining the page number will:

xdvi -unique +1 file.dvi

Summary: xdvik draws wrong size window

Initial Comment:
xdvik-22.84.8 and xdvik-22.84.10 draw extra space around the bottom and right edge of the window in expert
mode. SuSE 9.0's default is xdvik-22.40v, which (correctly) draws a window which is 731x945 with expert
mode on, statusline off, and us papersize. Both 22.84 versions draw a window which is 746x967, with the
extra space showing up at the bottom and on the right. Looks like the bottom region is trying to make space
for the statusline; perhaps the region on the right is an artifact of the non-expert buttons. This problem
is not visible in non-expert mode. If there is a way to eliminate this excess space, I haven't found it.

Email address is cilantro05 at comcast.net; thanks.

Summary: xdvik: extra frame on 2 sides

Initial Comment:
Just installed xdvik 22.84.8 under SuSE 9.0 (tetex
2.0.2-76).
Works fine -- but there is extra white space on two
sides of the window, roughly where the statusline and
the non-expert-mode buttons would be if I hadn't
started in expert mode. Desired behavior, as in older
versions, is a window showing a full page of text, with
no bells and whistles, neither headers, footers, nor
borders of any kind.

I'm running fv2m, but also tried gnome and a vanilla

Summary: Bugs with magnifier and colors of wrapped links

Initial Comment:
For links that are wrapped around pages, the color
special that is set at the top of the page will also
change the color of all text (not only the link text)
in the magnifier to link color.
Added this to regression/url-wrap-test.dvi.

Summary: crash at startup (menu creation) on cywin-X

Initial Comment:
xdvi(k) immediates crashed upon invokation with a
filename argument.

This is probably a very simple problem, but I am not
all that familiar with X window systems. I would
appreciate any feedback and comments on the problem I
am having with getting xdvi(k) to operate.

This xdvik version came with the TeTex distribution
source package.

>Summary: compiler warnings with gcc-4.1 on 64bit architectures

Initial Comment:
gcc 4.1 is more strict than previous versions, and
produces some compiler warnings with stable xdvi. As
described in

http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2006/06/msg00004.html

the problem might lead to wrong code, especially on
64bit machines:

> These warnings may point to code which is not 64bit

xdvik version 22.84.9 ( <at> (#)Motif Version 2.1.0, runtime

This is the version of xdvi that comes with teTeX 3.0.
I compiled it with GCC 3.3.4 under solaris 8. Running
xdvi under solaris 9 works perfectly. However, running
xdvi under solaris 8 creates a completely black window.
"xdvi -bg white" allows you to see the doc, but the
rest of the window is still entirely black. I've spent
a couple of days trying to figure out what's wrong, but
