[ xdvi-Feature Requests-614024 ] scale page to width

Summary: scale page to width

Initial Comment:
I feature I've been missing is the ability to scale
the page so that its width corresponds to the
width of the xdvi window. This is not possible
with the current set-shrink-factor() action
because it will only take an integer as scale
factor.

It would be even greater if xdvi could (optionally)
ignore the margins and fit the page to the visible
width. I can't say if this is feasible or not from the
development point of view, but it certainly is from
a user perspective.

[ xdvi-Bugs-1158030 ] Fix for incorrect layering of ps specials

Summary: Fix for incorrect layering of ps specials

Initial Comment:
Since at least version 22.70 xdvi(k) has incorrectly
ordered the drawing of postscript specials using
ghostscript. In particular, it tends to draw the
graphics later than it should in the page composition.
The result is that graphics will sometimes overwrite
text, when the opposite is the required effect (text
overwriting graphics). This bug has been reported
before. It has been stated that it can't be fixed.
Admittedly there's some trickiness here because of the
different threads. However, I here attach a simple
patch to psgs.c that seems to fix most of the problems.
It is basically one line (plus some debugging info).
This diff is from version 22.82 and has been built
using the xaw toolkit.

Summary: Gets stuck on dvi files with rotated tables

Initial Comment:
I am running xdvik-ja from debian unstable. I have a
problem viewing dvi files that contain rotated tables.
Once you reach a page containing such a table, the
hourglass appears, and then xdvi refuses to render any
further.

As far as I can tell the problem is due to the \hline
rather than the table itself.

xdvik version 22.84.8 (Xaw toolkit)
Libraries: kpathsea version 3.4.5, T1lib version 5.0.2
e

This is a simple test case.
