New release (3.4b) of the changebar package

Hi all,

I have just prepared a new release of the changebar package to mirrored onto
CTAN.
The changes are;
- support for VTeX has been added, thanks to a contribution by Michael Vulis
- support for colored changebars has (finally) been added
- a problem with changebar and shadethm used in the same document
  has been fixed.
- a number of minor typo's have been fixed.

Kind regards,

Johannes Braams

new version of uk tex faq on archive and web

i have just installed a new version of the uk tex faq on ctan
(help/uk-tex-faq) and on the web (http://www.tex.ac.uk/faq)

i've mended a small number of bugs in the markup and translation to
html, corrected and/or extended a few answers, and added answers to
another small number of questions.

note that question numbers have (again) changed, though no old
questions have gone away this time. users are again urged to use the
"label=" form of reference to questions, rather than the old
"question=" form: "label=" references may be found at the end of every
answer the web version of the faq returns.

CTAN submission -- slideshow

----- Forwarded message from Patrick TJ McPhee -----
I have uploaded a file called slideshow.zip to dante.ctan.org.
The files should go in graphics/metapost/contrib/macros/slideshow
The license is Berkley-style: there is no restriction on use,
but there is a copyright and I ask that it be kept when there is
signficant quotation.

slideshow is a set of metapost macros which simplify creating a
PDF presentation using metapost and ghostscript. It is documented
by a short text file, and includes some simple examples, including
the PDF output.
----- End forwarded message -----

Thaks for the upload. I installed it as suggested in
CTAN:/tex-archive/graphics/metapost/contrib/macros/slideshow/
