ctan installation: textpos package

i have installed norman grey's textpos package on ctan, as directory
macros/latex/contrib/supported/textpos

here's an extract from the readme file:

Textpos: absolute positioning of text on the LaTeX page
  -------------------------------------------------------

  Version 1.0b

This package facilitates placing boxes at absolute positions on the
LaTeX page. There are several reasons why this might be useful, but
the main one (or at least my motivating one) is to help produce a
  large-format conference poster.

This package provides a single environment, which contains the text
(or graphics, or table, or whatever) which is to be placed on the
page, and which specifies where it is to be placed.

uk tug faq: significant change

i have just installed a new version (2.2) of the uk tug faq on ctan

while the information in the file is only marginally changed, i have
made some changes to the presentation:

- there is now only one `.ps' file: these files use partially-
downloaded cm-family fonts (from the `ams' set) and are supposedly now
therefore resolution independent

- there is a file newfaq.pdf: this represents an experiment on my
part, and it exhibits a number of wrinkles which i hope to resolve in
the fullness of time -- its utility is limited by not having its links
to the archive (and so on) made active. i shall be continuing to
experiment with the setup and would welcome any comments.

i expect to publish a complete revision of the faq some time this
year. comments on accuracy of the present version, and suggestions
for new questions that could usefully be answered, would be very
welcome.

i have, in fact, installed the submission in language/oriya -- there
are several other single-indic-language directories, with similar
contents, under language/ so this placement seemed appropriate to me.
