I have installed the files from both archives (after renaming the
readmes as exam.readme and slidenotes.readme) at ftp.tex.ac.uk in

  macros/latex/contrib/supported/exams

(which is what I understood Hans wanted).

LaTeX2e <1995/12/01> patch level 2

A very small update to LaTeX has been placed on the dante server and
will reach other ctan hosts and mirrors in due course.

This updates some files in the base tools and mfnfss distributions
as described in below, and in patches.txt in the distribution.

At the same time the graphics files have had some updates, primarily
to fix some problems in the Textures support, and also to fix the
preformated documentation, grfguide.ps, which had unfortunately been
produced with a badly configured dvips that `forced' A4 paper size and
made the file unprintable in North America.

The main details from patches.txt are reproduced here:

Changes to non-kernel files in LaTeX <1995/12/01>
--------------------------------------------------

This section details files that have changed in the
`base', `tools' and `mfnfss' distributions.
Updates to the `babel' `psnfss', `amslatex' and `graphics'
distributions will be announced separately, if necessary.

But it turned out that it wasn't what Hans wanted...

I've moved the slidenotes stuff into

   macros/latex/contrib/supported/slidenotes

(which is a new directory)

Sorry for the confusion

ANNOUNCING CJK ver 3.1.0 [Chin/Jap/Kor for LaTeX2e]

I've uploaded version 3.1.0 of my CJK package to the CTAN hosts
(i.e. ftp.dante.de, ftp.tex.ac.uk, ftp.shsu.edu and its mirrors).

It will be soon available in the following directory:

    tex-archive/language/chinese/CJK

Below you find the release notes of this version.

Additionally a JIS X 0212 bitmap font (jisksp40.tar.gz) is now available
in the directory tex-archive/fonts/CJK-fonts .

[CJK is a macro package which enables the use of Chinese/Japanese/Korean
with LaTeX2e. It supports various encodings, e.g. GB, JIS, Big 5, CNS,
Unicode.]

========================================================================

Version 3.1.0: new:
20-Feb-1996 MakeTeXPK now supports DC (and TC) 1.2 fonts.

JIS supplement character set (JIS X 0212-1990)

Thanks a lot for your effort and time.

I am sorry to bother you but I think that there was
a slight misunderstanding. I wanted arosgn package
to be installed under tex-archive/language/bengali.
What I failed to mention was, if the tar file, arosgn2.0.tar.gz is
uploaded as it is, it is okay to keep it under tex-archive/language/bengali.
But if the tar file is unpacked, a subdirectory called
