I just hope you don't have this regular check as a recurrent task in
TaskCoach :P

We're quietly working on the next release(s), including iPhone
support. If you want to be informed about what is going on behind the
scenes just subscribe to the taskcoach-dev mailinglist. You don't have
to be a developer to subscribe :-)

[ANN] Release 0.72.4 of Task Coach

Hi,

We're happy to announce release 0.72.4 of Task Coach. This is a bugfix
release.

Bugs fixed:
- When exporting effort to iCalendar format, use 'floating times' rather than
  UTC. (SF#2722224)
- Lock a task file while the user is working on it. Note that locks are only
honored by Task Coach itself; locked files can still be removed using a
  file explorer. (SF#2318647)
- Fail silently if checking for the availability of a new Task Coach version
doesn't work for some reason. (SF#2669995)
- Don't open the category edit dialog when the user double clicks a category
  check box. (SF#2685754)
- In the budget page of the task edit dialog, make sure that selected values
  can be overwritten. (SF#2654254)
- Make the Debian package work with python versions >= 2.5 (but smaller than
  python 3.0). (SF#2724839)

What is Task Coach?

Task Coach is a simple task manager that allows for hierarchical tasks,
i.e. tasks in tasks. Task Coach is open source (GPLv3+) and is developed
using Python and wxPython. You can download Task Coach from:

http://www.taskcoach.org/

In addition to the source distribution, packaged distributions are available
for Windows XP/Vista, Mac OS X, and Linux (Debian and RPM format).

Note that Task Coach is alpha software. We do our best to prevent bugs,
but it is always wise to back up your task file regularly, and especially
when upgrading to a new release.

Frank Niessink and Jerome Laheurte

Hello everyone,

I can't install TaskCoach on openSUSE 11.1 64 bits, it says:
Subprocess failed. Error: RPM failed: error: Failed dependencies:
    python(abi) = 2.5 is needed by TaskCoach-0.72.5-1.noarch
    python-wxgtk2.8 is needed by TaskCoach-0.72.5-1.noarch
    python2.5 is needed by TaskCoach-0.72.5-1.noarch

Yet I have python 2.6.0 installed, python-wxGTK 2.8.9.2-0.pm.2 so I
don't know what I am missing.

If anybody could help I would apreciate it,

All the best

Alex

The RPM was built with python 2.5 and apparently it doesn't work with
python 2.6. I'm not sure why. What happens if you install python 2.5
(including python-wxgtk2.8 for python2.5) and then try again?

Cheers, Frank

Hello,

I can't seem to find in the repos python 2.5 so I can't install it to
resolve that issue.

Thanks for the help
