Convert Tasks in Categories?

I developed a complex tree structure in the "tasks side" (left pannel)
and now want all that as Categories
so i wanted to "copy and paste" or something simmilar,
so that tree structure then appears on the Categories Side (right pannel).

Is that possible?

Thanks!

recent Ubuntu updates break Task Coach sync?

Greetings, After some weeks, I went to sync my iPod Touch (iOS 6.1.3) to my Ubuntu (64-bit 12.04) system, and
after selecting my machine on the iPod Touch, I get the "Connecting..." screen, and the app seems stuck there.

This worked fine approximately a month ago, when I last did a sync. Since then I've applied a number of OS
updates on Ubuntu, and at least one on iOS. I have the most up to date versions of Task Coach for Ubuntu and the
Task Coach app on iOS. Per the wiki FAQ, bluetooth is turned off on the iPod Touch.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app on my iPod, and that didn't help.

I did note that the wiki FAQ page for setting up sync indicates "...the Avahi daemon is running and that the
libdns-compat package is installed." the daemon is running, but I don't have that package, and I can't
find it available anywhere. Is this instruction still accurate, and if so, where would I find it for 12.04?

Any suggestions for how I could debug this?

Thanks,
Derek

Has anybody else lost new task and task edit functions with the 1.3.26 update on OSX 10.6.8., please?

Getting also na errors message when closing Takscoach and a taskcoachlog.txt file has been created in my

(Tried to delete and install again the app with no difference).

TaskCoach/Thunderbird interactions

I am trying to do drop messages from my Thunderbird client to
taskcoach. It requests my password each time I drop a message. Is
there a place where it can be set?

Seconds in time fields redundant?

Hi all,

does anybody really use seconds when documenting efforts? I find myself
setting them manually to 00 over and over to avoid odd effort times.

Export invoices/timesheets

This was one of the reasons I made the switch to Task Coach. I tracked
my time for a project, and was able to easily export my hours to a
spreadsheet.

However, My client asked me to do more work on that same project. So
now, if I export my tasks for this client, along with time spent and
revenue, I would end up billing them for the work I already did. I need
to be able to filter the time spent from a specific day.

I suppose I would be able to export from the effort window, but the
search filter doesn't appear to be working right now, so I can't filter
by the client name or project. I have to go through and manually click
on every occurrence and then export this as a spreadsheet.

Is there a better way to generate reports based on a period of time? Thanks.
